    Grease Bolt ?

Re: Grease Bolt ? I used lubrication intended for firearms for a while but now I just use automotive stuff. I figured if it's good enough for my engines and wheel bearings it's more than good enough for my guns. I also like the heavy weight motor oil and wheel bearing grease since it tends to...

    HS Precision and DBM question

Re: HS Precision and DBM question Sure, but it would most likely need to be milled out to accept the DBM. Pretty simple job, you could probably even use a Dremel, although I hate using Dremel in a sentence regarding firearms. If you're careful you can do it.

Movie Theater Sons of Guns - New Discovery Show

Re: Sons of Guns - New Discovery Show If it was only about making guns and there was no drama it would be more like How It's Made. Good show, but nowhere near the ratings because it's not as appealing to the ignorant masses. It would cater to a more specific audience.

Sidearms & Scatterguns SA Milspec 1911

Re: SA Milspec 1911 I upgraded all the internals in my GI to Wilson Combat and everything was drop in but I probably lucked out. The sear and disconnector work great. The pull is very slightly heavier than the originals but I like the quality of the parts.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 44 magnum at 290 yards

Re: 44 magnum at 290 yards It's really fun to shoot handguns that far. I took my 1911 to 230 yards before. I didn't hit anything but I came close and it was fun:)

Is single stage press the way to go for precision?

Re: Is single stage press the way to go for precision? I reload my precision stuff on a single stage Lee Classic Cast and it's durable and good quality and affordable. Sure they're more of a budget brand but I've made some outstanding loads with this press and Lee dies. Good loads don't have...

    F T/R Competition 175smk or 168amax

Re: 175smk or 168amax I was originally using 175 SMKs in my SPS varmint and always got great accuracy, typically around .5-.75MOA at 100 yards. I decided I wanted something I could hunt with so I switched to the 178 A-Max and it shoots just as well and on my last batch of reloads I put 4...

    Enfields!

Re: Enfields! Here's my no star Savage before I painted it. The trigger guard is really weird, almost looks like it was home made.

K98K Nazi proof that just wont shoot

Re: K98K Nazi proof that just wont shoot Is it a Russian Capture? If it is, all the parts are from different rifles. The barreled action may not fit straight in the stock, the barrel band and handguard could be putting pressure on the barrel or the receiver may not be making good contact with...

How the Remington 700 actually stacks up

Re: How the Remington 700 actually stacks up I don't like the two piece bolt. I'm used to WWII bolt actions like the Mauser that have one piece bolts and the two piece has always seemed like a week point.

Deserted in a wilderness, which caliber would you?

Re: Deserted in a wilderness, which caliber would you? I saw a show about some people that tried living in the Alaskan wilderness for a while and the guns they had were over and under rifle/shotgun combination. I would want something like that for the wide variety of animals it could take in...

Re: Falcon 5-25x50 FFP Blurriness Mine is the same way and I have to have my head just right or it blacks out at the higher magnifications. Seems to track correctly but we'll see when I take it to 1000 yards soon.

Real world accuracy of the Mosin
