@R_Swanson, You could have just said “I’m not smart enough or strong enough to do that” and moved along with life. But you went full retard. Nice.

House Budget Proposal to remove Tax on Suppressors but not remove it from the NFA

I thought the amendment adding back the SBR, SBS, Suppressor, AOW language was successfully inserted.

    Tikka T3 Thread

Thanks for the sarcastic reply. I remain unsure what people think the gunsmith has that you don't have? I once asked Long Rifles how they do it, and they said a good barrel vise, an internal action wrench, a large 3/4" socket wrench, and a pipe of some sort to get additional leverage. Wrap...

    Tikka T3 Thread

It’s just not that complicated to remove a barrel. Go back a few pages and there’s a whole narrative about how to do it. It’s easy if you take your time. Speaking as someone who is well into the high 20s on barrel removals and swaps on T3 action, maybe even the low 30s. And I’m not a...

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

I also have an AR in 300 HAMR. Basically a 30-30 in a 30 round magazine. Kills well, and easy to load for, based on the 223 case, shoots 110-150 bullets very well, near one hole at 100 yards. Fast follow ups and light recoil. If you have an extra 223 upper, its just a barrel swap.

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

I get it. If you’re trying to push them fast in the 308 you’re gonna get those kind of results. However if you load them at about 300 Savage velocities then they’re pretty good little hammers on deer.

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

Have you actually shot a deer sized animal with a 125 NBT out of a 308? Your response leads me to think you have not, but know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy, who’s uncle, on his mother‘s side, once shot something with a 125 ballistic tip, and it blew up, or that’s the excuse he gave...

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

The 125 ballistic tip inside of 400 yards in a 308 is easygoing and flat shooting.

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

This is my 20” 6.5 creed in the stock. I’ll pretty sure it’s a stocky’s. 7.5 lbs all up, and the scope and silencerco adapter weigh 1.5 lbs, so 6 lbs-ish for the rifle with Sportsmatch 30mm rings. The 17-1/2” 308 has a Athlon 2-12, so the weight savings with the bigger bore and shorter barrel...

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

I have a 18” T3 in 308, and opened the bottom to take a CTR bottom metal and mags in a sporter stock. My do it all gun. I also have lightweight (23 oz) stock with the regular plastic and plastic mags if I have to carry it around a lot.

6 ARC powder consensus for heavies in AR

I have like 10 lbs of CFE223, and use it in my 6 ARC, but Lever gives more consistent results.
