    Around the house rifles.

I like the 2 WMR, but my varmint gun is a Henry .17HMR. Shots aren't normally more than 25 yards for me, so it works well for me. I just bought an old Glenfield 25 that might take up that duty when my suppressor gets out of ATF jail. If it's decently accurate, I may have the barrel cut down and...

What scope do you have on your 22?

Vortex PST Gen II 5-25 on my CZ 455. Vortex PST 1-4 on my KSA 722 PT, but that's because it's the only spare optic I have at the moment. It will either get a SWFA 3-15 or Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18 (at least those are at the top of my list today).

    10/22 Takedown Reciever

I saw the threaded barrel version, which made me wonder about the quality of the barrel. I'm not a huge semi auto fan (for fun shooting), but wouldn't mind sticking one of those in a Victor stock.

    cheek riser

I wouldn't really want to drill a fancy stock, but that one wouldn't look any different of you had some filled in holes that were painted black (if you removed the cheek rest). I went with the Victor and am happy with it.

mil hash rimfire scope? ring height?

I have the Gen II PST 5-25 on my 455 and like it a lot. The parallax will focus down to 15 yards or so, but it isn't advertized that way. I'm a huge fan of the reticle ( EBR2-C) after shooting it at 200 yards and not having to dial for elevation or wind.

    Do I NEED a suppressor?

I've had them on my work rifles for years. I never would have given suppressors a second thought otherwise, but I'm a huge fan of them now. For my first personal one I wanted a rimfire can so I can hunt varmints at night and keep from annoying the neighbors too much... Plus there is something...

    Do I NEED a suppressor?

I finally came to this conclusion last year. I held off because I didn't want to wait... which is kind of stupid since the waiting starts once you do the paperwork. If you don't ever do the paperwork, you'll be waiting forever. That being said, I'm still waiting for the can to get out of ATF...

NRL 22 Matches in Illinois and the Midwest

I'd like to see one of these around northern Indiana. With my work schedule, it would be nearly impossible to go to many (don't get many weekends off), but If one were close I could probably figure out how to make one or two to try it out.

    I should have listened....

The Area 419 and DIP rails do not work in the same manner. The DIP uses set screws that run downward through the rail and apply tension to the receiver to hold the rail on. The Area 419 (and the EGW) use screws to pinch itself onto the rail similar to how scope rings are mounted.

    I should have listened....

Are they actually going to make it for the 455? That may be the stock mine ends up with if they do.

    I should have listened....

How would you get your MOA cant if you want to shoot out a little farther without holding over? For a simpler set up where a cant isn't necessary, that would definetely be a cleaner look and fewer pieces to come loose. I still like using standard rings, though, so I can switch them around later...

    I should have listened....

It came out late last year IIRC. I like the idea of the level, but in reality, I can't really see it under my Vortex Viper when I'm behind the rifle. The mount itself is extremely nice, though. In the photo you can see how it is tucked up under the optic, but not really usable... granted, that...

Cricket Precision Rifle - any tried one?

There has been one at my local tractor supply that I would really like to get for my son, but he's so small his Rascal is still little too big.

    Victor Company USA Titan review

I'd be all over one of these if they made it for a CZ455. I'd put my 10-22 in it, but just don't want all of my 22s set up the exact same way.
