    This. I have a plumb line set up about 35 yds. off my deck and set my rifle on a table, level the action and set the vertical on the reticle to the plumb line. Done.

    Why not just look around for a good Finn M-39? They are very accurate. Also, it it not that hard to "tune" a 91-30 or M-38 M-N. PM me if you want some tips.

    XLR Chassis Stock

    Hey guys. My XLR chassis is on order and I went with the 14" handguard. The action that is going into it is a T/C .308 weather shield. Should I think about a 12" fore end? I was thinking the 14" would give me more leeway for my bi-pod mounting but would the 12" be stiffer?

    One other question. Can I just buy any "off the shelf" one piece pic-rail or Weaver mount and match drill the holes to fit my action? My next door neighbor has a drill press and I am a pretty fair mechanic so I don't have aproblem doing it but just wondered if this would not be accurate.
