Carbon wrapped barrels
Re: Carbon wrapped barrels I have a christensen arms in 300 wm. It took me 400 rounds to get it to shoot good. Mirage was not an issue. It took about 9 rounds for the barrel to get hot to the touch, shooting in 3 shot strings. It stayed hot for a while them. (not a good conductor)- pawater

Re: 300. win mag experiences!! Shot a bull elk last year 250yds with 185 grain Berger VLD hunting bullet @ 300fps. Double lunged ,he ran 40 yds and toppled. I tested berger, nosler accubonds and barnes ttsx's. I shot all three at 100yds through 2' of cardboard. The berger and accubond...- pawater
