    Deciding on a 200yd caliber

    Weight and maneuverability are not huge factors when shooting at the range. Short barrels are nice for hunting or matches, but come at the expense of increased muzzle blast. For my money I would be looking for a Remington 700 5r in 223 with a 20" barrel. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

    Go back and watch top sniper again and you will see guys with tape over the objective with a rectangle cut in it. I haven't tried it myself, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You can even pick up some camo duct tape. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

    I always recommend the Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14 for a good inexpensive scope. Mine has been 100% reliable bouncing around pickup cabs and switching between a couple guns. I have yet to find a better scope for a coyote rifle. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

    I really like my Nikon 4-14 Buckmaster. Its been bouncing around my pickup for years on a 22-250 and has never lost zero. Very good hunting scope an in his budget if he get the bdc instead of the mil-dot. I would cough up the extra $20 though.

    I got a metronome app for my smartphone. I set it to one beat per minute and hold the brass in the flame (300WM) for a count of 7. It is just turning a dull red. I spin the brass in a socket on an electric screwdriver and hold it so it is just touching the inner bright cone.
