    6.5 47 lapua

    I use 39.0 grins of h4350 for my dads 24" gun. I'm not sure on fps but the accuracy is there. I loaded some hornady 120 Amax and it shot one hole groups. I loaded these just for practice since he is new to the 600 line. However, I do use 40.7gns of h4350 with 130 Berger vlds. For match loads.

    What are you looking to do with the rifle? Is it going to be just a varmint rig? Are you planning on handloading or shooting factory? If you are handloading, I would consider a 6br, 6x47 lapua, 6.5 anything or something like that. If you are going factory, go with 22-250, 6.5 creed, or 243...

    If you are just testing the bullets now, 1/4moa at 300 with no load developement is tough. But you never know. I shot the burgers through my 6x47 and it was hard to find them after a while. So I went with the noslers 105. They shoot great and are cheaper. But I do however sort all of my bullets...

    With the right bullets, deer wouldnt stand a chance. I love my 6x47. Easy to load for. Tons of bullet avalible.

    Do you guys know if i got a ptg stealth bottom metal to put in my hs stock, would it drop right in? Or would i have to open it up a bit?

    I agree with finding them with somethingl like a modified case and then backing the bullet off a little. Then figure out your best powder load. Then, adjust your seating depth.

    I shoot all my rifles with bullets close to lands. Some jammed slightly. It won't hurt your barrel at all. Go with what is most accurate.

    These are much better options than I got. I have a chote stock and I had to build one out of foam and tape. I have to redo it every time I clean. Sucks. I need a new stock.

    Nice shooting. I am really impressed with the amount of vertical at the 500 target. That is a good indication that the load is working.

    This site is great. Tons of good info and lots of stuff to buy. Vendors, for sale ads... There is also accurate shooter.com it's a good site too. Tons of info. They are more toward bench rest and fclass. But great shooters indeed.
