    What mount / rings?

Most of us need a bit of cantilever to get the scope far enough forward on the gun to give adequate eye relief.

Sub-MOA Criterion 14.5" C/L barrel's home got a cosmetic upgrade with Accuracy Int'l Dark Earth Cerakote. Its new Sig contract overrun scope and mount look promising.

Will you be shooting Hornady factory Ammo?

    New Purchase?

I'm hoping you get a couple of Geissele 6ARC rifles and tell us all about them. I put a big scope on a friend's Geissele 5.56 16" Super Duty (that has never even been cleaned) and with MK 262 turned it into a half-MOA gun. As a result, I'm considering retiring.

    6 ARC Gas port erosion

That's a fine looking gas port! Carry on.

How will a SBR (11.5") with a mid-length gas system shoot? (Noveske)

Here's an interesting article on the concept of such an LE-DMR rig: https://zerotheory.org/the-le-dmr-concept/

How will a SBR (11.5") with a mid-length gas system shoot? (Noveske)

The Craddock Precision 11.3" Bartlein with carbine plus 1" gas system is what you want. How well will it shoot? MOA with quality ammo is surprisingly easy. With Berger 73 OTM or MK 262 you can expect half-MOA groups.

Building lightweight AR10 - VSeven Harbinger vs 2A Xanthos Lite vs other?

I too am a big fan of Criterion barrels. The Criterion Hybrid 16" does weigh just 5 ounces more than the Proof CF 16". That's a fair trade off for a $660 price delta. I'm confident that with match grade ammo the Criterion would not disappoint in the accuracy department. So, that's one excellent...

Building lightweight AR10 - VSeven Harbinger vs 2A Xanthos Lite vs other?

If you're looking for the best performance related return on investment (i.e., "weight"), just skip the big block game and build a 6 ARC with a Proof CF barrel.

Building lightweight AR10 - VSeven Harbinger vs 2A Xanthos Lite vs other?

I'm a big fan of cutting weight where possible, but not performance. I don't care for compromises resulting from things like ultra-light buttplates, skeletonized pistol grips, and lightweight buffer systems. 2A Armament and V Seven build absolutely beautiful lightweight yet fully functional...

    Criterion core over gassed?

ma-lign - to speak of another in a derogatory or critical manner. I answered your question, based on dozens of examples with which I have experience. I made a polite suggestion to prevent others speed reading through post titles from getting an erroneous impression about Criterion barrels...

    Criterion core over gassed?

I suggest that the OP consider changing the title of his post to something that does not unfairly malign Criterion. That will prevent someone scanning the titles from getting a false impression.

Weird first shot inconsistency with can

How do you load your first round into the chamber? Try putting the gun in your shoulder with the bolt locked to the rear and the magazine locked in position, loading up the bipod, getting completely set to fire, and then hitting the bolt release. This seems to help eliminate first round fliers...

    Criterion core over gassed?

Criterion is and has always been one manufacturer that does NOT over-gas their AR' barrels.

    AR-10 vs a FN-Fal

The better AR-10 variants crush the FAL family in the accuracy department. But my StG58 clone with Hensoldt 4X and a trigger job will shoot around 1.5 MOA with RUAG ammo. The FAL is definitely sexier.
