I would have no issue re contouring but I would be reluctant to flute a finished barrel. At least recontouring removes material in an even fashion and any stresses are affected in an even way as well.- bptactical

We have been to the Barcelo Maya twice just south of Playa Del Carmen. All inclusive, great food and drink, private beaches. Safe to travel into Playa or over to Cozumel.
