what would it cost to get you to drop test ur kit?

Did you find some stocks took the impact better than others? I think aluminum would hold up better than carbon or fiberglass, but I've been wrong before...

what would it cost to get you to drop test ur kit?

Maybe we need to drop test actions and stocks... ATACR fared better than the rest of the rifle.

    AW mag runs best…..

I use aw mags exclusively with my TL3. I've never had any problems. Smart money is on any 3 lug action, but I don't think the two lug actions are as troublesome as people make them out to be. But the TL3 might be different, it's a CRF so the bolt face is different than push feed bolt faces...

    Vortex lht 4.5-22 durability test

A while back everyone assumed that their scopes tracked and reticles were properly calibrated. It was eye opening when people started to actually test the mechanics of scopes (Steiner t5xi, Leupold mark 6...). Personally, I'm happy that people are trying to test the mechanical reliability of...

    LMT .308 MWS

Sounds like you should be looking at the ATACR 4-16 and mark 5 3.6-18.

    NF 5-25 to smaller scope?

Is the size or the weight the problem? I'd love to try a 4-20 ATACR. Frustrating that there isn't more feedback on them. The 4-20 is still 35 oz... Same weight as the 5-25 and probably only marginally smaller. The 4-16 ATACR is a good scope, a good bit cheaper than the 4-20, smaller/lighter...

Rifle Scopes Help me decide which Nightforce scope I want.

If those are your only choices... I'd try the 4-32. I have no experience with any of those scopes. Sure seems to be a lot of recommendations for the 4-16x...

    Vortex lht 4.5-22 durability test

I think Nightforce literally pounds every scope they send out against vulcanized rubber to see if they can induce a zero shift. I remember seeing a video from shot show explaining this process.

Rifle Scopes NF ATACR 4-16 vs Leupold MK5 3.6-18

I just purchased a 7-35, and I agree. Obviously there are noticable optical differences (fov, depth of field, image size due larger eyepiece) between the 4-16 and 7-35, but the image quality on my two scopes is very similar, almost identical. Comparing my examples, the x42 controls CA better...

Rifle Scopes First Nightforce Purchase - any advise or pointers?

Some actual advice... Ebay (auctions) or the hide have great deals on used, like new, condition scopes. Ar15.com isn't the target audience for 5-25 or 7-35x scopes, but even deals pop up from time to time on there. Eurooptic demos are probably the best deal if you have to buy from a retailer...

Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56

Good info... I'm looking to buy new scope in a month or two and I'm deciding between the 7-35 atacr and 6-36 razor. Why wouldn't you buy another atacr? From what I can see, these occupy a similar price (used ATACRs for 2800-2900 vs 3k plus tax for the razor). I can understand the argument...

    Rifle Scopes New Razor????

Some people have a preference for black scopes weighing less than 45 ounces and that's okay. There is nothing wrong with discussing how or why a new product doesn't align with their preferences. That doesn't mean they are saying the product is garbage or going to fail. Vortex announced a new...

Preferred setup on 308/6.5CM large frame?

I think 6arc could replace most of my large frame needs.

Preferred setup on 308/6.5CM large frame?

I agree with the comments above... Lightweight large frame wasn't worth the effort. Full mag, larger receivers, heavier BCG and optics meant it was going to be heavy relative to an ar15 no matter what. I settled on a 4-16x42 NF, arca rail, supercal bipod and 16" 308 and 20"6.5 creedmoor barrel...

    Rifle Scopes New Razor????

I dont care about the color, and I'm not dogging the performance of it. I hope it performs spectacularly. And I don't care about brand names... I just know that I'm likey to move optics around and a 43 oz optic has less versatility than something weighing 5-10oz less. In the event I'd end up...

    Rifle Scopes New Razor????

Is that street price? Or simply a place holder? I understand if you can't elaborate at this time.

    Rifle Scopes New Razor????

Not that anyone cares what I think (or do)... But at 3k, it's not the value proposition I was hoping it would be, I hope there are some sales available, at $2500, I'd likely be interested, which is possible given that every vortex product is available (eventually) for less than MSRP. Demo/used...

Looks like MSRP is going to be $2,999.99. The link is dead, but it's clearly on sportsman's website waiting to go live.
