    I blew up my rifle!

@Cereal_Killer and @TonyTheTiger No (reported) damage to barrel. No damage to suppressor. Extractor ripped through case. Massive brass flow into ejector. BCG moved enough to rip extractor through brass, but locked up before opening. @Cereal_Killer, what are those circumferential line...

    I blew up my rifle!

Looking at more than the one picture of the piece of brass on its side, yeah that’s more than “just” a case head separation. I mean, look at how much brass flowed to create that ejector mark. I assume that if the barrel is clear and undamaged, and the can is undamaged, that it wasn’t caused by...

    I blew up my rifle!

(Edited) Looks like a case head separation. How many firings on that brass? Cut that piece of brass open with a dremel and you will see a stretch line around the base, right where the failure occurred. Now, get a thin piece of wire and curl the end into a J. Cut the short end into a sharp point...

House Budget Proposal to remove Tax on Suppressors but not remove it from the NFA

I’m looking ahead to the continued fight to remove silencers and short things. “See, no tax. No no registration.” “No, the tax remains. It’s just a $0 tax. Registration remains…”

House Budget Proposal to remove Tax on Suppressors but not remove it from the NFA

Someone, somehow, will argue that the tax was not removed. It was merely adjusted down to $0. And, by that token, the NFA registration is still the (constitutional) way to track who has paid the $0 tax.

Sturm Ruger has bought Anderson Manufacturing

Bruh, the attention not paid to fit and finish is just extra attention paid to QC. That’s why they cost more. Trust me.

    Anderson AR $299

So, is this a legit site, or one of them Venmo, bitcoin, or Paypal F&F only sites?

Sturm Ruger has bought Anderson Manufacturing

Honest question. How much testing does one need to do to be confident that a gun will go bang and not click, when it is supposed to? One mag? One case of cartridges? Complete a local comp without a failure? 5000 round torture test by Robski at AKOU? I ask because Century AKs have passed the...

Sturm Ruger has bought Anderson Manufacturing

I think people get a bit too wrapped up around the roll mark. A lower receiver is just a fixture to hold the other bits in alignment. The forgings for MANY brands are all coming from a few foundries. If Anderson had a 50% fuck up rate- which they certainly did not, you’re still money ahead...

CMP has sniper rifle up for auction

Not just guns. Coins. Knives. Commemorative spoons. Whatever. Your kids and their kids don’t care about your collection. They don’t know or care “what it is worth.” When you kick, they only care about what they can get- right now. Estate planning should include a healthy dose of liquidation of...

    Movie Theater "The Running Man"

Remakes are safe. That’s part of the reason that every movie is now a “franchise.” Original ideas are scary, unproven, and very risky. But, The Fast and the Furious XVII and Mission Impossible 34 are instant winners. Just like reskinning CoD and shipping a “new” game. The audience is already built.

90% of the live fire “training” that you need to do for PRS can be achieved on a 100 yard range. PRS is about quickly building a stable position on a rickety prop, and self spotting your impacts.

    “BBB” law *update* *update* july5th

Sweet. So, now IF it passes the house again (and it squeezed by with one vote the last time), it must get past the senate parliamentarian again, then past the senate again (where it apparently went to a tie breaker vote). And, because the Senate is going to Senate, there will be changes that...
