    Problems zeroing ar15

Why would you ever modify a weapon before shooting it first? By changing things around you have probably voided any ability to send it back if it was a factory defect. Plus you know do not know if the gun was faulty from the factory or if something broke after you altered it. Dave

    Naked AICS with a twist

I guess it would just be an RS. And thanks for the heads up on the sharp edges. Dave

    Naked AICS with a twist

Thanks everyone. I am still in the desert right now and about 5000 miles away from my chassis so I haven't been able to handle it or even look at it. I was just wondering based off the pictures that I have seen. Dave

    Maggie’s He went to Jared

Sidewaysl80 - That is why later on I mentioned that I would never buy form their store. As a LEO I believe that their are certain places that should always have trained LEOs with loaded weapons. -51% alcohol locations: anywhere you have alcohol you have the high possiblity for people to do...

    Syrian rebels with an AS50

With any luck it will just fall out... Also, I wonder if they are using a CounterSniper scope, haha.

    Maggie’s He went to Jared

Bottom line is that if you properly carry your weapon the only person that knows you have it is you. If you are carrying a weapon that shows or prints at anytime then you are actually no longer carrying concealed. Also, based off the sign, if you have a pocket knife then you are not welcome...

    Naked AICS with a twist

Has anyone thought about making a pistol grip and trigger guard that could be attached to a bare AICS frame? It is really nice looking rifle with the skins removed and I think that it would be cool to be able to shoot it without the skins. Just curious... Dave

Day out with my 9 year old daughter

That is awesome. When I get home, I am going to do my part to try and become a dad. I can't wait to get a chance to share some great times at the range and in the field with my future kids. I'm so glad to see the younger generation enjoying the shooting sports and it is a great way to learn a...

    Watches?

I agree. I just wish that they had allowed the Vectors and Cores to go below 100ft. The Core is designed and has the ability to be used as a dive watch or computer, but does not have the depth to really be used in that way. It is a great watch for anything and everything that you do on dry...

    Women in Combat

Basing our decision about intergating women into the combat units off of the success fo the European countries is not really an apples to apples thing. Europeans have always been a more "open" culture, which takes away some of the "you can't do that" factor. This means that women and sex are...

    Watches?

I have 2 Suunto Vectors and 1 Core. I love all of them, but the are not a great choice if you are going to be doing any diving. Considering that they are made by a "dive watch" company, they have horrible depth tolerances.

Rifle Scopes Mark 8 Leupold - Anyone Tried It?

Gunner: That is the kind of review that I was looking for. I guess that the small number that have actually made it out of the factory has made it hard to find reviews and videos. But it is hard to pay that much for a scope that I haven't looked through, handled, or read many reviews on; even...

    7mm-08

Thanks for the heads up guys. I am a big KISS method guy when it comes to choosing calibers for rifles and pistols. I like to keep everything shooting about the same round to make things easier. I had not thought about the lack of match ammo for the 708, but that is a big deal.

    7mm-08

Why don't we see more 7mm-08 builds? My wife shoots a 7mm-08 and it is a tack driver and it has very little recoil.

    Muzzle Jump?

As some have stated above, the direction of the recoil shows us where the weak points are in our form. If you are getting left recoild then something is either pushing the rear of you weapon right or the muzzle of the rifle is being allowed to shift left. That etiher going to be from your...

    Muzzle Jump?

The movement is not always caused from the muzzle end. You might need to raise your scope a little or drop your cheekpiece. Sometimes you can push your cheeck into the stock enough to cause a up and left recoil of the weapon. This can be caused by having your scope too low. If you raise the...

    AR or AK for durability

I would go with a 308 variant. It keeps you in the same caliber as your bolt guns so if you reload you can just make a load for your new gas gun. I'm a big fan of sticking with the same caliber based off the KISS method. I would go with the Scar. They have a rough trigger but people still...

    FPFRussia gets raided by Feds.

The thread is a prime example of what I meant by "America's ADHD". We started off talking about a guy's rights being violated, then started talking about bike helmets, and now we are bitching back and forth with eachother and calling eachother names. Now if only the Liberals that want to...
