    I'll throw another option at you.... 6.5x55 and here is why. I have one in a Win 70 featherweight that is very accurate (22in barrel if I recall correctly). It has very little muzzle blast and very low recoil with factory loads. Brass is very inexpensive and components are easy to find...

    hamstur is right.... call the sheriff's dept. and file a report. 2am is bullshit, and you are a better man than me for putting up with it. After you call the PD a few times and the same cop comes out to do the report once or twice, I bet they will do a good job of convincing the neighbor...

    Caliber choice for a M700 Ti action (long)?

    You are going to run into issues with the 6.5 SAUM. The bolt face would have to be opened up and it is a short action cartridge which may lead to feeding problems. I would go with 6.5x284 or 6.5-06AI. You may also want to look at 284win if you want the ability to shoot slightly bigger...
