Poor IRL performance of the 68 grain .223 BTHP

Shot placement is always a major factor. My level of experience is that I'm a varmint hunter and don't hunt big game. Nothing against big game hunting, it just isn't something I have interest in. What you are saying is the opposite of the what the hunters that I shoot with are saying, but I...

Poor IRL performance of the 68 grain .223 BTHP

I've only heard positive results from guys that can shoot.

Stripped rail screws how to unscrew?

Bravo 👏 Le foto possono essere ingannevoli, ma credo di poter vedere la differenza nei fori delle rotaie 😮 Is this a Sabatti rifle?

Stripped rail screws how to unscrew?

Bello. My mother's family is from Rocco Pia 😎 Good luck with your screw issue.

Stripped rail screws how to unscrew?

The OP wasn't sure if he could get a Grab-It in Italy.

Stripped rail screws how to unscrew?

@RTTY Ciao! In quale regione vivi? I did not see this mentioned here, but sometimes a left hand drill bit will work for this purpose. Do you have a machine supply store local to you? The idea is that the left hand drill will begin to cut the steel in the screw, and hopefully catch an edge...

A better way to look at this- Maybe the government is in control of too much money? The answer is a resounding yes.

Hanging AR500 gongs from my target holder

Rubber garden hose, cut for the separation distance. A more elegant solution would be shaft collars https://www.mcmaster.com/products/shaft-collars/shaft-collars-2~/

    223 Ackley Improved

Roughly a 150 FPS MV increase. Case stretch is greatly reduced. My observations are that the 223AI is inherently more accurate than the 223.

    Bergara early M40A3-ish in 22lr

    I like it! 😎

Unplugged Phone rollout - I need tech nerd input

Earlier this year, I asked a guy that I work with if he had ever heard of Straight Jacket. He said no. An hour later, he picked up his iphone to go to lunch and it had an ad for Straight Jacket. His phone was listening to my voice.

    .223 - 5.56

Looking at your groups, the dies you are using are not holding you back. If you were seeing the occasional flyer, I would adjust neck tension, but make sure it is the ammo and not the gun, shooter, or wind. Wind can be a factor at any distance, but even more so when you go past 100 yards...

    Dallas Area Long Distance Range?

Listen to the advice that is being given to you. Almost everyone I know that shoots to 1000 yards and beyond, zeros at 100 yards. It's just easier. Get a good ballistics calculator on your phone, and learn how to use it. You put in your zero, bullet and velocity information, and it will tell...

    First AR15

If I could only own one, it would be the Daniel Defense. That is only because they have a nicer fit and finish. They are also very accurate for 5.56 barrels. That said, I own and have been around a lot of BCM over the years, and all run very reliably.

For better or worse- things from your past you won't ever see again.

I wanted a Redline but ended up with a Raleigh Rampar. It was a good bike, just heavy.
