New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
So I ran a 308 ladder in half grain increments at 330 yds. Gun was strapped into a led slead to eliminate shooter error and I found two nodes.
41.5 and 42 gr were touching and so were 37.5 and 38. Everything else had significant spread
Would you load up .2 increments or just go halfway? I...
I just got mine and loaded up 100 223 rounds. Performed flawlessly. Natchez had the best price at 289 so I tagged on another rcbs item to get the 50 rebate.
I picked up some once fired brass from brass bombers and most of it had a small indention right below the shoulder. I've done the same to my brass if I get some dirt in resized or too much lube.
I jut wanted some opinions. I'm thinking it will be fine and fire out correct.
Is it pretty...
Night force came out with the moar-T reticle this year with thinner lines just to take care of that. unfortunately they didn't put it in the competition. i went with the ddr2. just got it yesterday. now to get it mounted!
Yea it is. I picked up a cheap Caldwell just to try it out. When they say large doughnut does that further stabilize the side to side I trust?
Alot of the ones I saw said heavy base?
With the Caldwell I just squeeze the bottom. with the upper end heavy bases is the ear a separate chamber and...
I'm looking for a rear bag for prone and bench shooting at the range at 800 to a thousand yards and there are alot of options. Also im shooting a 10 ba so its got the magpul adjustable atock that is flat on the bottom.
I assume I would want a flat top bag then correct?
I looked at the seb bags...
It's that time of year. I'm just about going out of my mind waiting for the new competition scopes to ship.
Compounding that this will be my first nice scope I have owned.
Can't wait to get my new toy and get to the range.
+1 on savage shooters. Pay the 15 and u have access to alot of articles that are step by two of what u want to do and Acvess to the classifieds. Northland shooters supply specializes in savages. He will be your go to guy for anything savage. Gauges wrenches barrels. Just about anything.
I agree on the savages. Out of the box I think they outperform the Remingtons maybe not by much. Either one is good. I just think the savages are a bit better. But then again I'm a savage guy
I took the plunge and went ahead and ordered 1000 rounds of lc brass and am having them prepped and annealed. Now to get it all loaded and do some long range shooting. luckily i have 800 yards to practice on my land. If nothing else gets me in cheaply for practice.
40 xs, in some sense a zero should be completed as you shoot. If it differs significantly from a bench rest you have learned something about your shooting. That being said you would definitely want to confirm zero with your normal style of shooting.
