    Prairie dogs are on the incline here in NW Wyoming. Had a rough 2 years in the past but they are coming back. HWY 44 in SD is a good bet still Shot a lot of dogs there last summer on Indian land. Open and mostly flat with a little rolling hills makes some good long range opportunities

    Let me ask this, is there a hunting bullet that anyone would recommend for this twist rate? This is the first year Wyoming has allowed deer and antelope to be taken with a 22-250 and I am kinda hoping to try it out. State law requires the use of a 60 grain bullet or heavier.

    I ran across a box of 80 grain Berger vld's that I wanted to try in my 22-250. I have never loaded anything this heavy for my 22-250 and can't seem to find any reliable load data for it. Also, will a 1:14 twist stabilize these? Any help would be appreciated.

    I live in Powell but I do most of my Pdog slaying near Meetetse or Greybull. I havent been out yet this year but I have seen a few dogs out while driving around. We got hit last year with plague and I didnt see many pdogs at all. I am optimistic about this year.

    Re: Prairie Dogs in Wyoming? I live in the NW corner and it is the same here. 2 Summers ago I killed over 100 dogs in a day over the same colony. Last summer over the same colony I saw none. They are scarce right now.

    Speeding up my .308

    Re: Speeding up my .308 Loaded a few rounds with 2000 and tested velocity today, gained almost 200 fps at the min. I was pushing a 175 vld at 2860. Going to start loading up .3 gr and find if I can get one to group well. Thanks for the help guys!
