Gunsmithing Lapua 260 Rem brass neck thickness

Re: Lapua 260 Rem brass neck thickness "I would rather buy a reamer than neck turn." Yep, that is exactly what I've decided to do. Loaded is .295" so I'll probably get .298" reamer.

Gunsmithing Lapua 260 Rem brass neck thickness

Re: Lapua 260 Rem brass neck thickness I just finished measuring neck thicknesses on a 100 ct. box and they ranged from .0147"-.0153", with the majority measuring .0149"-.0151" thick. So, I guess I'll be turning them a bit to fit my chamber as my reamer has a ND of .294". I also weighed...

    Gunsmithing Best WSM Action

Re: Best WSM Action I built a 300 WSM on a Borden Alpine a couple years ago and I like it and the extra .100" of the Wyatt's extended box, gives me more than enough length. Also have a Winny, but it is not nearly as smooth as the Alpine, nor do I expect it to be so.

Re: my son's weekend turkey Congratulations, that is awesome! I just took my 8 year old grandson out for his first turkey hunt two weeks ago, no luck yet. Still got a few more weeks to get it done. If he does get one, I'm sure I will be more ecstatic than him.

Reloading benches, and work areas, lets see 'em

Re: Reloading benches, and work areas, lets see 'em After many different tries at suitable loading benches over the years, I just never figured out "that" bench. I think I've found a keeper this time. I installed two t-tracks into the top so as to allow mounting my presses, trimmers, measure...
