    That would be a better setup for mud where you need to keep some wheel speed. They make good power but not in the right place for me. A stock 8.1 makes about 300 ft lbs at idle soo.... I have over 2000 cubic inches of chevy motors currently. I may need to start going to meetings.

    Lots of info on doing that mod at pirate4x4 or cokoradok5. I pulled a york ac compressor and mounted it to a chevy 350 stuffed in a 75 toyota land cruiser. Airs up 35" tires and runs the selectable lockers. Still need to figure out how to do the one going on my 8.1l vortec in a 76 k5 blazer.

    Why even bother with an indicator of you are just going to throw it in a 3 jaw chuck anyway? I'm not a machinist but i have ran enough machines to know you have to pick one or the other. Keep your fancy paintjob and true the work.

    Took my daughter fishing at 11 mile reseroir on fathers day. The big fish is hers as usual. We got soaked off and on all day but by the look on her face it was worth it.
