Most Accurate factory 50bmg on the market???

Oh I dunno, I think she's quite fetching! The shooting position is excellent no doubt, I can get straight back on target to spot my shots. Welcome to the Hide.

Most Accurate factory 50bmg on the market???

Rangemaster .50 gets my vote. Rangemaster .50 Rifle | Rangemaster Precision Arms Same price range as an AX but a favourite amongst 50bmg shooters here in the UK. I'm chuffed to bits with mine.

    168 SMK Replacement for Rem 700. .308

167 Scenar I've found to be a good substitute.

    .308 loads for 1:12 twist 26" bbl

Flat shooting, and .308 are not generally used in the same sentence I'm afraid. For long range target the flattest shooing will be the 155's however the Hornady 168's or Sierra 175 SMK will be a good bet and easy to load for. The 168 SMK is an excellent bullet for shorter ranges but not exactly...

300 Win Mag and 208 A Max reloading concern

By seating to 3.34" you are loosing quite a bit of case capacity with the 208 - Hodgden list 3.42" COL on their on line data. I'd wait for the rifle to arrive and then accurately measure the distance to the lands so you can tailor your seating depth according to mag length and jump. Using a drop...

    Seekins vs Nightforce rings

I use Seekins on my .50 BMG, no issues what so ever! I do prefer them over all the other types I have used however with the top ring manufacturers quality is all there so really its down to availability and preference.

Removing tar sealant from pulled bullets ?

I use a can of brake cleaner - I put the bullets in a zip lock bag with some strips of paper towel and put a few squirts of cleaner in. Swish around a bit, the paper towel catches most of the crud. I then clean them up afterwards with a clean towel and a little bit of cleaner. Made the mistake...

.30 Cal AP Bullets - Resize?

I've shot some pretty bad pulled tracer rounds in the past with no issues other than having to jam them into the chamber! The latest batch I have have light pull marks and work just fine.on the previous bad ones I rigged up an old 308 Lee collet die to round them out, worked well.

    300 win mag 22" barrel

I had mine cut back to 24" to make it a little more handy plus rethreading. VV N165 plus 208 Amax work extremely well and I'm sure would continue to do so if I cut back to 20"

Resizing 300 win mag... how much lube?

Yes you certainly want to lube inside the neck either by scraping the mouth against your finger covered in lube or using some sort of applicator like a q-tip. no need to lube a new or cleaned die, the cases will do it for you.

Resizing 300 win mag... how much lube?

You get a feel for how much imperial, when doing a large batch I'll keep the index finger and thumb coated and lube every case as I'm inserting into the press. You'll find that its the body taper that needs it the most. It soon becomes apparent when there's not enough on the case but touch wood...

Lets assume H4350 is not an option......

If you can get hold of Vihtavuori powders N160 is very close to H4350 and gives near identical results.

Rifle Scopes Ideas on how to keep aluminum rings tight

Seekins are very good but I've run others over the years with no issues. Spuhr are also supposed to be top of the line, you could PM him for advice? However I'd suggest you start by degreasing the screws (I use brake cleaner) but be careful not to over torque when running them dry.

Rifle Scopes Ideas on how to keep aluminum rings tight

Cleaned with what just out of interest? I run aluminium rings on all my heavy recoiling rifles up to 50 bmg (I use Seekins) and I've never ever had a set come loose. Make sure when tightening you synch down the screws equally (from corner to corner) until you are near the correct torque setting...

    odd looking primer hits...

I'd say over pressure, I've seen similar on my .223 resulting in pierced primers. If you've any left to shoot wear safety specs. Try CCI primers also, they have a harder cup.

Converting AICS 308 mags to 223

Here's one I took a while ago, not very good but you get the idea..

Converting AICS 308 mags to 223

The ones in mine measure just over 1mm and are only the width of the narrow 'waist' of the AICS mag. PM me if you want any more details or any photos.

Converting AICS 308 mags to 223

Glue two shims down either side of the mag walls to reduce the internal width. I have one and it works well, holds around 16 rounds.

Maggie’s I just can't figure this one out

One of my neighbours decided to have a big bonfire late on a Sunday evening just a couple of weeks ago, it was red hot so everyone had their windows open (this is England don't forget, we don't do hot all that often or have airccon in most houses..), washing onthe line etc. Hardly any wind so...
