    Re: 16-18 inch shorty rifles Its a Remington Varmit/PSS contour. Its not a tight bore. The ammo is a MK 316 copy. M118LR brass, 175 SMK FGMM large primer and 41.7gr of IMR 4064. No pressure signs at all.

    Re: Loading for a SA M1A I use FL dies on my supermatch. My rifle alos like IMR 4064 and 4895. If you could find the old M118 match (not LR) load with IMR 4895 you won't be dissapointed.

    After reading a couple of books they all seem to agree that the Winchester M70 used by the Marines had medium-heavy barrels. Can anyone tell me what contour that would be?
