    The last I'd read, Armalite isn't giving any info with regards to who is supplying their barrels. That's not uncommon in the industry though since manufacturers can source them from multiple vendors.

    I could've but it would've put the red dot back closer to the turret and made it awkward to adjust the turrets without moving the optic and mount around to free up some space maintain eye relief. This solution was simpler for me.

    The AIM Surplus Armalite barrels were too good to pass up, I mean nitrided stainless, 5R rifling, 1:7 twist, I bought one just to keep as a spare. A friend of mine shot a factory Armalite gun and his SS barrel was fast for a 16" and accurate as all get out.

    The janky Monstrum Tactical set up held up well so I imagine that the Reptilia will do just fine. With it torqued around the scope tube I don't see it being anymore prone to slipping than the scope in the rings or other tube mounted accessories. It's not ideal but similar set ups have been used.
