    AR stock other than PRS?

    I like the Vltor line personally for run and gun type shooting. For anything precision related I like the A2 style stocks. Yet to find anything that can do both extremely well.

    How old when you first broke 1000 yds?

    I was 16 at Thunder Valley precision my first time (20 now and currently deployed, waiting to get back home). I was shooting my savage .223 which is now my 6.5CM. Got a hit at the mile target there once with that rifle, maybe twice.

    The only dilemma I see is the barrel contour. For a hunting rifle--you mentioned 3-4 days trips--a pencil barrel seems like a must. I wouldn't want to be shooting any tactical matches with a barrel that thin, especially if they require a decent amount of shots during the course of fire. So...

    Sell me on 6.5 Creedmoor

    Got my .223 rebarreled to a 6.5 cm. Myself and my buddy have gotten hits on steel out to a mile with this caliber. Fairly easy to handload, decent barrel life, great ballistics. Only downside is only Hornady makes factory ammo for it. However if you handload, it is a none issue. Go for it...

    Flush Cups? How well do you trust them?

    Only problem I ever had with my flush cup wasn't with the actual flush cup. The part that goes in the cup unscrewed from the rest of the sling while I was at a match two years ago. Got some lock tite on it and haven't had a problem since.
