Of course not, but what good is preliminary report going to do for them? They need a huge amount of support, but a statement from Boeing with a few data points that creates a new media fire storm isn't going to help them. Especially when in all likelihood it was human error or malpractice that...

    Boeing down in India

No, because the people commenting on this issue don't actually know anything. Airlines get sent alerts from Boeing/Airbus/GE/PW/etc all the time if they notice an issue in service. Chances are they have a good idea of what's already happened, they just haven't told the content creators yet.

    Boeing down in India

Probably because the only people that care about it are YouTubers and armchair experts. Airlines and people who need to know will have already been told if there is anything to be done, or the FAA/EASA/Other CAA will have released emergency ADs if it were necessary.

Vortex Viper HD 5-25 is meant to be a nice scope.

Some more outstanding commentary. Despite being completely wrong before, "where there's smoke, there's fire" so it must be a software glitch. Just ignore the fact the smoke wasn't actually real, and the small pieces of evidence he has doesn't really prove anything other than software/complex...

I had thought about doing some sort of YouTube thing around aircraft engineering in the past but decided against it for a few reasons: A, it's a clear breach of my works social media policy B, I'd have to interact regularly with the weirdest spotters C, People at work will think I'm a looser D...

Yes there is a back up power source. But the guy is full of shit, the Spar valves aren't spring operated, they are motor operated. If they were spring operated they wouldn't need backup power supply. 8:22 of the video, this guy is making claims based on 2nd hand knowledge and Googles AI...

You are correct about the center tanks pumps being override boost pumps. The control of the spar valves and the high pressure shutoff valves are powered by DC power, so with batteries you'll always have power available. The 777 and 787 has separate power supplies for these (think they have own...

It could be possible there was 1 VSFG already on MEL, the other engine craps out (loosing both VSFGs) and then the other one on the first engine dies, having then lost all 4. However the VSFGs don't fail that often. Now if it was CACs we were talking about, well that's a different story. But...

As above, water in the fuel is not a problem and happens fairly frequently. The main problem with water contamination is it can lead to the biological growth which can either block fuel filters, or worse cause corrosion in the tanks. The aircraft is smart enough to know if the fuel filters are...

Engine servicing is a pretty vague term here. I wouldn't be worried at about a new engine being installed, Rolls engines on 787s ae being replaced all the bloody time and theres never an issue. The biggest issue is still that both engines appeared to dies at the same time. The likelihood of...

Our airline all wears hats and blazers. Pretty sure they have to as the Airline generally thinks too highly of themselves.

    Long gong

I've always been skeptical of the whole long gong concept for exactly this reason. As much as people like to shoot long range, I feel like you'd be better of excepting the limitations of 22lr and just limit to 200 meters. I think you could maybe reduce the smallest target on the 200m small set...

Desert Precision Gunworks 22LR Action Updates

Yeah perfectly understandable. I imagine AICS will be the most popular mags by a long shot, but having other options would be sweet.

You mentioned you may be able to get a buffer made so that you can run T1x or CZ457 magazines. How likely is this to happen, or is it just a maybe? Being able to run T1x mags would be a game changer for me, definitely a very very appealing feature.

The likelihood of all four EMPs (without full AC power loss) is damn near impossible. The loss of all hydraulic systems in general is extremely unlikely. If the RAT did auto dual engine failure is the most likely cause. Air India reportedly use GE engines, so extremely bad luck with Trent 1000s...

Like Dislike @EagleEyeShooting what are your thoughts of barrels and lot sensitivity? Have you found a particular barrel twist, rifling, chamber, etc is more or less sensitive to batches/lots or is there no effect? I'm about 90% on board with longer barrel=lower SD, but as most people are...

Flying Through the USA with a gun (Non US Citizen)

UPDATE: Fort anyone in the future searching for this topic. I ended up emailing the CBP who told me that I did not need a permit to transit through and airport and sent me the statement that I'd already seen at this link: https://www.help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-1224?language=en_US Again...
