    Prism Scope Field of View

Just like regular scopes they can be designed in different ways, for different purposes. The Burris RT3 and Swampfox Trihawk are both 3x prisms, the RT3 has a 38ft FOV, the Trihawk 52ft. The RT3 is half the weight, much smaller and has longer eye relief. They if you look at the Trijicon...

Carl Zeiss Sports Optics to close shop

It was interesting that they pointed out digital optics be a major competitior. I imagine a lot of people who would've bought a high end day time scope have instead spent the money on a thermal scope, which Zeiss obviously can't compete with.

Do you drink anything while shooting?

Bud Light. Bitches drink water and electrolytes, men drink beer.

Carl Zeiss Sports Optics to close shop

So sounds like they wont be producing optics themselves anymore, but the wont be shutting down the sport optics division of Zeiss. I wonder if they have found the cheaper OEM produced products are selling better than their own, with the higher end market having more competition with less...

Rifle Scopes Tract Toric ELR vs Burris XTR IIIi NOW With some Burris Pro and now some Zeiss LRP S3 also!

I don't live in the US and Euro wont export, if I had been able to buy a Pro when they were $1400-$1500 I definitely would've jumped on it. The Pro and XTR 3i is almost impossible to get, or just way more expensive than they are in the US. The Zeiss S3 is the same price if not cheaper than a...

    Accuracy issue complaint

Isn't this why some people glass bed their chassis? There was a thread a few years back about this. With mass produced rifles and chassis it's inevitable some are not going to play well together, glass bedding is the only way to ensure you get a perfect fit. However that video does show a lot...

Rifle Scopes Tract Toric ELR vs Burris XTR IIIi NOW With some Burris Pro and now some Zeiss LRP S3 also!

Cheers, that's pretty much what I had come to from reading reviews. The basic XTR3i isn't far behind the Pro and is considerably cheaper, the Pro is an upgrade but not worth $2200. The Razor is definitely the best but expensive at full price. The Zeiss and Element seem to be the best value...

Rifle Scopes Tract Toric ELR vs Burris XTR IIIi NOW With some Burris Pro and now some Zeiss LRP S3 also!

Did you have any updates on any of these scopes Rob? Did you narrow it down to a few favorites or have you kept everything? I'm really close to buying a Burris XTR Pro, I really like the reticle, FOV, and toolless/removable turret. However all the reviews on the Zeiss, Element and RZR G3 6-36...

    Another Parker Hale Suppressor

My BIL who is a welder said it's rather carcinogenic, works well but don't breath it in when applying. Will pick up a new suppressor at some stage, keen to try both the weld splatter spray and ultrasonic cleaner. I think ill try weighing the suppressors too as a guide as to when to clean.

    Another Parker Hale Suppressor

How often do you clean them? As in after how many shots? Ultra sonic cleaning sounds great, much better than scrubbing and scraping lead/carbon fouling.

I'm in NZ too. I like 22 suppressors but cleaning them in a PITA, so been trying to find one that was better suited to cleaning and heavy use. Will look into a MAE one.

Cheer mate. Whats so good about these older suppressors? They seem to be pretty popular.

    Customer Accuracy Expectations

I would love to see some conclusive testing on whether rifles can reduce ES/SDs or of you are forever a slave to lot testing. If a particular rifle/barrel combination was guaranteed to give a lower SD and be less sensitive to ammo I would 100% buy that over pure accuracy. Dropping from .5"...

I feel like 1moa in the horizontal is entirely possible, even out past 100yards. Vertical on the other hand, well that's all down to the ammo.

Lithgow LA101 with a few mods.

I'm guessing it's not too hard to in stocks inleted for Lithgows over there? I can't remember of you have any CZ 457s, would the Lithgow offer any advantages over the CZ? The lack of stock/chassis options makes its hard to look past the boring CZ, Tikka R700 options.

Desert Precision Gunworks 22LR Action Updates

With the fixed extractor I'm assuming user replaceable barrels will be possible? Would you consider doing barrel flats to aid in barrel changes, or are you just assuming 99% of people will just stick with a truck axle barrel?
