    I would shoot it before spending any money on extras. A fully loaded .357 is a bit .... unpleasant ...to fire due to the sharp blast.

    The guy has a modest goal of shooting squirrels in the woods at 25-50 yards . People are suggesting a 25X scope. Hell, he could do it with a 22 pistol and irons. We have far more shooters here than hunters.

    A lot of magnification is a hindrance to squirrel shooting in the woods. 4-6 X is more than enough.

    I think you will end up with a lot of un recoupable money in paying a smith to work on a 10/22. Plug in new parts or get. KIDD SUPER GRADE.

    For range gun with super accuracy get a Baer 6” with the 1.5” guaranty. For carry get an alloy frame officers model. Wilson seems best to my hands and eyes. I carry a vintage USGI 1911 from 1917. It does what I need. Gamers and competition shooters bad mouth them. But, they were not designed...
