    Start on the .308, and by the time you get to 1000 yards, it will be time for a new barrel and you can move into a caliber more effective at those distances.

    Just keep the torque the same during load development. Only change one thing at a time to see how that affects your results. MFG spec is probably your best choice until you get every thing else dialed in.

    I know I Cerakoted my barreled actions because the bare stainless is reflective when hunting. A flat black anodized scope is not. It might be best in the future to worry about your own gear rather than bash others.

    My Remington 700 built by Hill Country Rifles. It currently wears a Zeiss Diavari-V 1.5-6x42...but I have a new USO MR-10 that will be put on after deer season. It will also be re-barreled at the end of season (got over 2k through her).
