Buy a weapon mounted LRF and make its beam co-incident with your scope at 300 yds (or whatever your zero is). Clip on the thermal and away you go.

    PSA side cocking upper ?

I would say that the ultimate precision of a side charger is theoretically less than a regular charge handle as the reciprocating mass of the side charger is not axially balanced and the regular one is. Having said that, I have several side charging AR rifles and they shoot as well as the barrel...

Best home defense is no suppressor? / zero distance

On a serious note, I bought a KAK industry flash can to make a short AR 15 more bearable and it really helps the shooter. I can only imagine it would makes things seriously disconcerting for a person 10 or 20 feet or so down range. The thought has some merit (methinks) and is worth a discussion.

for those who garden and can

https://www.stclareseeds.com They are in WI and that's why I used them. I've successfully harvested/planted 2 or 3 generations of some of their seeds. Works well for me. I think they even had the planting chart I use. Huge selection.

    Any structural engineers around?

You can test the beams almost as sho You could just test it up on blocks almost as shown. Flip it right side up, block it where the banks would be and load it with half the weight, although, a beam with fixed ends carries more weight than a beam with floating ends. Also, diaphragms were...

Best cold weather rifle platform?? What is it?

I use Amsoil Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease, NLGI #1 (NLGI #1 - 5% Moly). I use it at work on our construction equipment. It claims to resists "pound out" and "wash out" and works better than most greases in the looser joints and knuckles in heavy equipment so I assumed it would be right...

Best cold weather rifle platform?? What is it?

I've run my side charging handle (modified) Armalite AR10 SASS to -14 F with no trouble. To compete at a shoot the rifles and ammo had to sit outside all night and a young man's M1 Garand actually froze up, although he did free it up. Its all in the type of lube you use. I use a moly bearing...

Maggie’s Why not one more food thread, Braunschweiger

@armorpl8chikn The stuff we get is in a tube so I slice it thick and fry it quick, more like a brown and serve. It's crumbly tough. You need a pan release like butter or oil. I tried it as a stuffing in a smoked rouladen I made once, but it didn't turn out as well as the wife's normal rouladens.
