Re: New rifle choice 22/250 .243 .204 To me it depends if you want to keep/sell the pelts or if it's purely for extermination.

    .22 Recommendations

Re: .22 Recommendations Tell him to get a used Marlin Model 39A. It'll handle all of those .22 chamberings, tube magazine, and one hell of a nice little rifle. He should be able to find a few at local gun shows.

Hunting & Fishing 12 gauge for small game, anything left??

Re: 12 gauge for small game, anything left?? And if you are, aim for the head. But be forewarned, cleaning pellets out of rabbit or sqirrel is a pain in the ass, especially when you miss one or two and later find it while biting down into your meal.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Prototype Combat Knife--Check it out...

Re: Prototype Combat Knife--Check it out... The first thing that popped out to me is the design on the bolster... that looks like a big hindrance to me, but I'm NO expert either. To me the grip looks a bit too narrow to be used rough and not make your hand sore. I don't mean to be a dick but...

Re: 24 hours of pullups? wow... I watched this the day it was posted and it gave me the motivation to get off my ass and get down to the gym. I've been having a rough time finding the energy lately, but this sure did inspire me.

What the heck is going on with my wife's Howa?

Re: What the heck is going on with my wife's Howa? Check the scope base/rings to make sure they're tight. Other than that, I'd get a different stock. If it's like my old one it'll have a small piece of plastic in the barrel channel that sticks up and puts pressure on the barrel... and if any...

Is it worth it to accurize a Ruger M77?

Re: Is it worth it to accurize a Ruger M77? Floating the barrel and bedding the action are both easy and inexpensive tasks that you can do yourself and both tend to help with accuracy. I would do it regardless if I were you... triggers I won't eff with myself, I'd MUCH rather have someone who...

    Need some Direction.

Re: Need some Direction. I went through this too... I was 14 or 15 when I had enough money saved for my first bolt gun and I wanted a capable round that could double as my hunting gun. Did many months of research and settled on a 300WSM which is a great round. All I could afford was a sporter...

    What would you do?

Re: What would you do? As far as factory rifles go, I would be looking at the the AI AW/AX and Sako TRG, as well as the DTA SRS. If a custom, then I'd start with a Surgeon XL action and any of the reputable barrel makers out there (my pick would be either Bartlein or Krieger in an MTU/AMU...
