    Badger Ordnance M2013 Shipping NOW!

Good, honest answer. I understand cannibalizing the margin to gain market share with a new product. After chewing on it for a couple days, $1500 is fair to ask, I suppose I was just spoiled by the killer pricing on the 08. Thanks Marty. Feel better now Turbo? :p

Bet none of em shoot. That DVD was littered with corporate sponsorship and product placement anyways.

    Sako TRG 42

I'd imagine mishandled, neglected, improper cleaning regimen over time, moisture, poor homegrown lapping job or other DIY coating, corrosive surplus rounds, specialty ammo, many rounds of unstable projectiles, salt spray, gremlins...its steel and doesn't just fall apart for no reason.

    Badger Ordnance M2013 Shipping NOW!

Easy, Turbo. I know the 13 holds a special place in your heart. It was genuine curiosity, not slander. I only mention the program because it's an update, not a brand new design or a grand departure, so the framework is already there from an engineering and programming standpoint. Nothing personal.

    Badger Ordnance M2013 Shipping NOW!

Curious about the price of the short action non magnum. The 2008 was $200 less and used a steel rail, presumably more pricey than aluminum. Many of the other additions result from changing a few numbers in a cnc program. May I ask why the price increase? Also, will a standard round knob be...

    Diamonds anyone?

More often than not, fluting is done to save weight since the barrel is always the heaviest component of a rifle. The cosmetic look is secondary for most. FWIW, the barrel in my sig is spiral fluted and it shoots bugholes. It's still front heavy and without it, the thing would be too heavy and...

    Rock Solid Rifle Stock

The adj butt is a nice feature but it's starting to get outside this stock's intended purpose. The idea is for simple, reliable and rugged. Adding adjustable this and that induces failure points and before you know it, it's just like everything else on the market. As long as I can get a solid...

    Ammo issue?

Remingtons generally have loose chambers, it would take a case way out of spec or bullet loaded way too long to have an effect but it can happen. I'd check all the dimensions, OAL, neck dia. case dia, rim dia, shoulder angle, mouth to shoulder, etc. How many had this issue?

    Ammo issue?

Agree with above. It sounds like the rounds are too long for your chamber. Can you tell us what type of rifle you were shooting? I've also had an issue closing the bolt when firing a long string and heating up the barrel.

    Rock Solid Rifle Stock

I know Sobr has a lot of time behind these so I respect his opinion. I own a few chassis to include XLR and W3C and they are very good but IMO the RS is a purpose built, no frills competition stock that has all the things you need and nothing you don't. Some guys will love it for this reason...

    Bolt knob variations

Paul, I haven't seen a round ball knob from you before, is this something you could do? Mine's already threaded with a Phoenix but I'd like to make a switch. Also, just out of curiosity, why are you limited to Remington bolts?

    good trigger for around $150

I ran the Shilen for a while, run a Timney 510 now. Jewels seem to lock up more than others when they get dirty, so keep that in mind. The Shilen has a narrow shoe while the Timneyis much wider. Both have a consistent break and good feel so it comes down to preference. If you decide on the...

SAC: Floating Bolt Head Remington 700 prototype

So Mark, you only need the bolt to do the conversion? Does it make any difference if the action was previously trued? It would be worth the short drive to have it done, besides it just gives me an excuse to rebarrel :)

    Atlas Bipod

Do a quick search. This topic has been covered to death. Atlas is a great option but there are plenty of other quality bipods available and it all comes down to personal preference.
