@NoLegs24 I also have two questions about your AXSR ;-) What colour is it? Dark Earth I presume? And can you attach the Tenebraex kill flash when using the SP-4602 mount with your TT525P? I'm wondering whether it'll hit the rail or not. Nice shooting!

Very nice! I also have the TT525P, very nice optic indeed! Did you get the Gen3 XR reticle? What model ERA-TAC mount did you use?

I had multiple barrel bags and bolt pouches made for the SRS bolt and barrels. They are excellent and the maker is a great guy. Shipping to Europe was no trouble at all. Also a nice thing about the barrel bags that @softcock makes is that he makes them to your specification. Meaning those 28”...

AB Library Update 951 (Barnes, Berger, Black Jack, & Nosler Additions)

Excellent! I'd like to add my vote for the Hornady .338 300gr. A-Tip.

Thank you for sharing, that is good data to have 👍🏻

    Hornady 338 300 grain A-Tip

It's not leaving a small ring or marking and it is not gripping the bullet? I have some trouble with my Sinclair/L.E. Wilson micro-adjust seater with the VLD drift/stem. I need a small flat head screwdriver to pry the cartridge out by the rim after seating. It's not the case, all new brass that...

    Hornady 338 300 grain A-Tip

What do you guys use to seat the A-Tips? Do you use a regular or VLD seating stem, or for those using the special Hornady A-Tip seating stem: is that a VLD type seating stem? Thanks!

As promised here are the bullet files for Gordon's Reloading Tool and QuickLOAD. Because of forum limitations I had to zip the files but for transparency reasons I'll post them here in plain text as well. Gordon's Reloading Tool file: Hornady A-Tip Match 300gr 33389.projectile <?xml...

Haha, awesome! Thanks a lot. Let me get to it and I’ll share the results here. If people are interested I could share the QuickLOAD and Gordon’s Reloading Tool bullet files I create here.

Would it be possible for you to mark your measurements on this image? Just a marking/letter on specific location in the image and tell me what your measurement is. I think I understand 90% of what you wrote, but I'd like to be sure. Thanks! Hopefully I soon get a couple of 300gr A-Tips myself.

    Hornady 338 300 grain A-Tip

@SIDS01 A shorter freebore? Isn't that a disadvantage with the A-Tips? Impressive speeds with the 33XC, but that's to be expected from the case capacity :) I wonder what performance I will get in the 338 Norma Magnum and standard CIP freebore of about .241" By the way, might you have measured...

Thanks for sharing @SIDS01 May I ask what cartridge, speed and barrel you shot the 300gr A-Tips with?

Proper Caliber and Scope for ELR.?

I second @b2lee with the 6.5 Creedmoor. Seems like a great cartridge for your purposes. Heck, I know shooters that have taken the 6.5 Creedmoor with 140gr Hybrids to 2240 meters so it's not as if it won't get there ;-) As for a scope, any proper 5-25x56 or 6-24x56 scope would do. It all depends...

    Hornady 338 300 grain A-Tip

That's very interesting to hear/read. When Applied Ballistics tested the 30cal 250gr A-Tip they also came to a higher G7 at .450 instead of the .440 Avg they list on their website. I hope Applied Ballistics gets around to testing the 338cal 300gr A-Tip soon as it would be great to have the data...

That's an interesting trigger shoe. And a very nice looking rifle ;-) @MACHTECH If I may ask, what made you go for the Spuhr SP-4302 3MIL over the SP-4602 6MIL?

Very nice! @96C Is that a Proof Research drop-in AI AX Carbon Fiber barrel with Area 419 Sidewinder muzzle brake?

Apparantly it's been good enough to last 5 years ;) ? I checked and with my TT525P in their integrated Tenebraex cap system the caps fit but there is minimal clearance between the rail and cap. Just enough to float over it though. If you need the older Tenebraex system it might be a tough fit.

SP-4802 13 MIL/44,4 MOA Height: 38 mm/1.5” Length: 121 mm/4.76” Weight: 254 g/9.0 oz I have the same mount for my TT525P and I noticed I have the cheekpiece at the lowest setting and sometimes still press my face against it.
