Dogtown 55gr HP: any experience with these?

Just got a few 55gr HP "Dogtown" bullets from Midway. My intent was to make a cheap .223 plinking round for the AR. Questions to people with experience with loading these bullets for .223: 1. I'm concerned mostly about COAL. These are really short bullets, and anything longer than 2.200"...

Rifle Scopes 0 MOA base - 10x SS - Will it work?

Re: 0 MOA base - 10x SS - Will it work? The high rings will frustrate you more than the base. The SS has enough travel for you to get away with a 0 MOA base. That said, next time get a 20 MOA base. It puts the scope closer to its optical center even for short range shooting.

    Gunsmithing best rem 700 trigger

Re: best rem 700 trigger Get behind Jewell, Timney, RifleBasix, and whatever else you can. I have a Timney, and although the break is clean and the feel is excellent, I pretty much hate the shape of the shoe. While I like the width, it's also very curved and doesn't welcome the shooter to put...

    Cleaning Product "Wipe-Out" any opinions?

Re: Cleaning Product "Wipe-Out" any opinions? It works amazing if you have the time to wait for it. It's not something you'd use at the range. FWIW, I have a few other bore solvents, but I don't actually find myself using anything except Wipe-Out. Be sure to get the Sharp-Shooter-R one. There...

    Rifle Scopes 300 RUM Scope

Re: 300 RUM Scope I wouldn't get a BDC reticle unless you get one tailored for your load. With 150 gr bullets, you'll be well over 3000 fps. Are there any non-custom BDC reticles that will match that weight and velocity? If I were you I'd get a mildot or another reticle with usable...

Re: Best Customer Service in the Optics Business I had good CS from Mueller. My other scopes are Meopta, Leupold, Sightron, and Nightforce. I bought Meopta, Leupold, and Sightron in part based on their reputation for good CS, but so far haven't needed any support from any of them. I bought...
