New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
In a predator or hot hunting situation, I don't know if I wished all my rifle scope had the TReMoR3 reticle but I find myself grabbing the rifles to that have scopes with the TReMoR3 reticle. I really like the wind dots. As long as I have a pretty good idea what the wind is, a quick range...
I'm not by any means a top PRS type shooter but I can confirm Proof stainless barrels are as accurate for me as the Bartlein. Proof are the only barrels on my hunting rifles and precision rifle rebarrels.
WOW. I never seen anything as bad as this new reticle by S&B.
I got a old S&B PMII that's probably about 15 years old. I am planning to send it in for changing MOA two Mil turrets and update the reticle. I was hoping for something special from this years SHOT This reticle in my opinion isn't...
Thanks for the post. I have 3 Proof carbon wrap barrels on bolt hunting rifles and they all 3 are unbelievable from the fist shots fired.
Not to high jack the discussion I would be interested to know if anyone has tried a 16'' 308 Proof carbon barrel.
I own both the Leupold Mark 5 3.8-18 and the NF 4-16x42
I my opinion the NF is the clear winner in every possible comparison. Some might say the Leupold has 2x more in power but the quality of the NF glass over comes the added power of the Leupold.
You mention your friend is a avid hunter. I guess I would have to have a idea of what he hunts, typical distances, and current rifle inventory. There is no way id recommend a 300 win mag for 100 yard whitetail stand hunting but sure would for 500 plus yard elk hunting.
I own 2 JP 6.5 grendels and one JP 6 creedmoor and while they are well built accurate rifles, I would not consider shooting one of the JP's against bolt guns. There would be absolutely no fun in it at all.
If you are set on a gas gun, I agree with what has been said to stick with a caliber that...
The most accurate rifle i have ever owned has a Proof carbon barrel. The rifle is chambered in 6 creedmoor shooting Copper Creek ammunition. It truly is a .2moa rifle. I have 2 more rifle with Proof barrels and they are almost as accurate. All my future re barrel jobs or new custom rifles...
If you willing to spend $5000, I'd go with the JP as well. I have owned several different brands over the years and now only own JP AR's. They truly are the best rifle out there in my opinion. I will admit, the JP LPR-07 is a heavy rifle which is fine for a range/competion rifle but If...
My wife and I just got in from NM and we got along great with the New HD-B 3000's as well. No ranging problems whats so ever in clean air. We had a snow storm one day and ranging was not good at all. I wish I had my old original Terrapins with me to see how they would had done in the snow...
A friend of mine have compared his 2000's to my new 3000's and our conclusion was glass was equal with our eyes that day but the 3000's out ranged the 2000's as they should.
The 2000's will in my opinion will continue to get the job done, as they always have on game at shooting distances. If...
