    Gunsmithing Savage 110E Bolt problem

Yes, all the parts interchange since 1967. The only things that need to match are the firing pin diameter with the retaining pin diameter. The two firing pin diameters are .100" for the new firing pins, and .150" for the older firing pins. I believe the hole in the retaining pin is .005"...

    Gunsmithing Savage 110E Bolt problem

Looks like it is out of stock everywhere. Midway shows them as "overdue". I can send you one if you would replace it when they become available.

    Gunsmithing cold void help needed

What everyone is trying to tell you (very nicely in fact) is that what you want to do isn't going to fix your problem. How do you get $3000 into a rifle and still have a POS factory barrel on it?

    Gunsmithing Factory Savage parts?

If it is for a center feed you can get the parts from Savage. Plug in the Firearm Serial Number G828778 It will bring up a schematic showing the frame assembly PN: 105857 and the mag box P/N: 55117 Of course, you'll also need a stock inletted for the DBM.

    Gunsmithing Savage Sear Spring Install?

I use a screwdriver with a torx or allen bit to push the spring and spacer into the correct position while pushing the pin by hand. Those round type bits are mor forgiving and provide some control while trying to line everything up and slide the pin in. It usually takes me a couple times...

Gunsmithing Does any of the Hides gunsmiths work on savages?

A lathe is the most accurate way to shorten it. I've also done it carefully and slowly on a bench grinder. You need to shorten it by the amount the bolt lift kit protrudes from the cocking sleeve. You can also put a same thickness washer under the BAS head if you don't want to shorten it. If...

Gunsmithing Does any of the Hides gunsmiths work on savages?

Several hundred rounds will also work wonders in addition to polishing the cocking ramp in the bolt body. When you installed the bolt lift kit did you shorten or shim the BAS? If you didn't, you probably increased your bolt lift.

    Gunsmithing 7mm-300WSM Short Action Reamer

Why not just fireform 270 or 300wsm brass into 7mmWSM? I use Norma 270wsm in my 7mmWSM.

I've had several of their barrels with very good luck.

Gunsmithing Whats the possibility of an AR bolt head on a actual bolt gun?

If you want more locking lugs, you could get a Weatherby Mark action. Nine lugs. Three rows of three.

    Gunsmithing Twisted rem 700 action

    +1 Same for me.

    Gunsmithing Guns in a Fire

No it won't. Homeowners usually have small limits on "valuables". Even then, what is covered, is only paid at a depreciated amount.

Gunsmithing Savage long action 300WM to .338 Lapua

It's actually based on a shortened RUM case. Devin later found out that it was easier to form from the Dakota case.

Gunsmithing Any fixing this or scrap metal

He drug the dimple on the recoil lug around the action face.....a couple times. The trigger and complete bolt are worth a bit, but the action is toast.

    Gunsmithing Barrel threads not straight

Maybe theirs is straight in a different direction than yours.
