New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
4-5 strokes dry brushing(for Lead) followed by 4-5 patches wet with lighter fluid(removes the wax lube) and then fire 15-20 rounds down range to reseason the barrel.
I agree. 22-250 is a .224 dia. and the rimfire is a .222 dia. It will work but it won't shoot worth a damn! Is the 22-250 bbl. a heavy bbl. or is the lighter version? The reason I ask is a buddy of mine has a 40xb rimfire bbl. he might sell.
I can't really say. But I did just send mine up to Hart rifle barrels this morning with the same question. I will be doing the same with mine. It will go into a McMillan remington sporter stock with a Leupold 6.5x20 EFR and hopefully it will make weight.
I have a 40xb that loves them...on occasion there is an unexplained flyer...but for the cost, I can live with them. Definently not match ammo, but a good practice round.

Re: Sponsor or do a $ match for the rimfire comps?
Very interested! I am in your area and would have no problems helping out...let me know the particulars.
