Re: ELR Course at Gunsite
Cory....what you said about shooting several other guns makes it even more appealing. I may pick up a FN or Savage in a heftier caliber for this. Sounds worth it.
Graham.....I was thinking of going a similar route at first. 300 wm or a wsm. Then came across some...
Re: To cut or not to cut
I agree with jason. Those LR 308's are heavy guns for a field gun. I would cut it to 18 also. In fact I am doing the same thing with a 24" creedmoor at the moment. You lose much less velocity than people think in the 2500-2900 FPS range.
Put "velocity loss per inch...
I bought a gas gun that was built using a mega monolithic upper/lower with a 24" Brux barrel. I want to cut the barrel down and re-thread it. Will the gunsmith have to remove the barrel from the receiver to cut it down and re-thread or is it done assembled?

Re: Larue PST port selector/adjustable gas
well...it's personal preference. But so is the stock, lighter trigger pull, adding the muzzle brake I want. I prefer a gas block that is incrementally adjustable like a JP.
Re: Larue PST port selector/adjustable gas
Hmmm.....My PredatOBR has become a very expensive rifle
PredatOBR $3,282 w/misc fees & taxes
upgrades:
replace A2 flashider $??
adjustable gas block $80
butt stock $100-$240
replace trigger or find out if if I can lighten with a spring change. $??
Re: How to accurize an AR15
Longarm....thanks for putting up Robert Whitleys very interesting info on his techniques. Your question is a really good one and you are right...it is seldom thoroughly addressed.
Re: inch/Lb torque wrench
the magna tip at Brownells looks like a possibility. One questionable review.

Re: inch/Lb torque wrench
just looking for something to install an occasional scope or maybe tighten a few screws.
$40-$60 seems reasonable
$150 seems a bit much for my needs but I'd spend that much
rather than end up with a piece of junk
Yep reviews are mixed on the Fat.....although some...
is there a decent inch/lb torque wrench that doesn't cost a lot?
