New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I watched those videos as well and just tested my 3-24x52 this weekend, it seemed to track perfectly to 20mils.
Not really clear and defined but I just snapped this the other night at the range holding my phone behind the scope. FML-T1 between 12x and 15x on the zoom ring. Target at 400m.

Looking at the Nosler data above the Long Range Accubond bullet they are using is 1.550" long and they show a OAL legnth 2.860, so I think at 2.950 in a AICS mag you could still get decent velocity out of long bullets.
@XTR what reamer specs are you planning on going with? I am not an expert when it comes to reamers but from what I can tell a SAMMI would be about as good as gets if running out of the AICS mags. As far as I can tell it has zero freebore, which I think would be the best possible solution with...
I am tagging in because I would like to know the the experience others have had as well.
I just ordered a magnum bolt head for my SA TL3 and I have a 9.5 twist 30 cal barrel that I am going to get chambered in 300 WSM and run out of a AICS mag like you are planning.
I am hoping to use a...
Great video Will. Have you tried any testing with zero shift when striking the barrel? There is a thread on the ARC Barloc and some posts on facebook that suggest a zero shift if the barrel is impacted from the side or top/bottom, and I am curious as to how the vector system hold up to this...
I had a machinist friend make me a 14" arca rail out of steel instead of aluminum for a rifle that I wanted to add weight to and it came is just under 2lbs. Could be an option.
That's what I though at first but if you look at the pictures above, it looks like the AI has 4 action screws and the rear screws are on either side of the trigger. I could see that as a big challenge with a conventional stock as you might not have enough material on either side of the trigger...
I had the idea of having ARCA swiss rail made out of steel instead of aluminum, should add weight and can be easily removed. Just need to find someone who will do it.
