New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
To each his own, right? The reticle on the BLACK FX1000 was specifically designed by Nikon's Sr. Manager who is an avid competitive shooter for ease of use and effectiveness. One of the feature's guy's liked the most at SHOT Show along with the FFP and zero stop. The important thing is you got...
Nikon's BLACK FX1000 scope's should be in retailer's in the next 2 week's,hopefully!
It truly is a heck of a scope as we have said previously, it has a lot of great feature's longrange shooter's want for a great price.
Also check out Nikon's new BLACK Series mount.
Here's a few of the spec's on the BLACK FX1000. The max internal adjustment's are actually on the low side and guy's have been getting over 19MRAD of adjustment on the 6-24x50 model. I hope this helps?
Feel free to drop me a note with any question's and I'll do my best to get you the answers.
The weight is bwetween 23.3-24.5 oz's depending on model/illumination. Here's a link to a video so that you can see how easy it is to set the zero stop on the BLACK FX1000. A few guy's have asked me if it uses shim's and the answer is no. Screw's to set it and it is a solid lock up. The link is...

Nikon has designed the M-223 scope and it is much more user friendly and has some great added features. It is called the M-Tactical and you can get it in BDC, MOA or MRAD. Different magnification setting's as well. 30 MOA tube's and no plastic or decal's applied. Definitely a much nicer more...
I have had a few guy's ask me how Nikon's zero stop will work on the new BLACK FX1000 scope. Well here's a video to show you just how easy it is to set and how solid the lock up is.
Last I heard this scope should be in stores in less then 2 weeks.
Setting zero stop on BLACK FX1000
A buddy just told me that Nikon's MONARCH 3000 Stabilized rangefinder has hit Scheel's and will be in other store's within 2 weeks. I had the chance to check this stabilized rangfinder out at SHOT Show and it is the real deal. I have used the 7iVR, Nikon's first stabilized rangefinder the last 2...
I would see if you can slide it forward 1 groove and move the scope back or move it back and the scope forward. I had a RR AR that had a similar issue many years ago. I even sent it back to them because I didn't think the probelm should have been there in the first place. No luck in the fix...
Happy my input could help. I don't do any sales for Nikon so passing along my true hands on experiences is a easy. I do not think you will have any trouble meeting your expectaion's. I hope you'll post some pics and range report too.
Enjoy!
I do some freelance PR/Shooting Event's for Nikon and I can assure you that you will not have any issues using the M-308 20 MOA mount with any Nikon scopes that will fit between the rings. I think there is probably only one scope that will not fit that mount and that is the P-223 3X carbine...
Check out Nikon's PROSTAFF 5 3.5-14x50 with custom turret made for your shooting style. The PROSTAFF Scope's are some of the best out there for light gathering and they have very good clarity as well. Best of all they are under a PROMO right now giving you $100 off at check-out when you buy from...
Nikon Fieldscope
First off let me tell you that I do some freelance PR work for Nikon, that being said, I will give you my honest opinion on my experiences with the PROSTAFF 3/5 and the ED50. Yes, the ED50 is a bit more expensive but incredibly clear. I don't have one but borrow a buddies and...
Nikon PROSTAFF 5
I have used and own a PROSTAFF 5 BDC scope. I think you will not regret your choice. Very clear, easy to use, excellent light gathering and field of view. Nikon's Spot On Ballsitic Program and BDC reticle make for some incredible accuracy. Enter your shooting data...
I have used that PROSTAFF scope and I think you would be happier with a MONARCH 3 4-16 BDC. I have used one to shoot to 500 yards going 10 for 10 on 12 inch steel plates. The BDC reticle will allow you to dial in your rifle scope and ammo for the greatest possible accuracy. A scope I have on my...
Nikon M-223 Mounts
Absolutely. If your scope has a 1 inch tube you will be fine. The new 30mm Mounts are followed with 30 after their Designation, M-223 XR 30. If you are using a compact scope (short tube) you may need a 2 piece mount. If you are using a Nikon scope with the BDC reticle make...
Yes, You are correct. One of the things I am in the habit of doing is glancing at my turret's before shooting to make sure they have not turned while I haul my rifle on a sling or being slid out of my rifle case. A quick glance is all it takes.
No worries, it's really quite easy, pull out turret so it spins freely (no clicks), turn it to zero and push it in. Now you have returned all setting's to zero.
