New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Your experiences don’t mimic those of folks actually shooting the optic in competition so I guess we can agree to disagree. I will say all wide angle optics will inherently have tighter eyeboxes than those of standard configurations. That too affects the kahles 328/540
At no point did I say the optical side or the optic had changed, what has is much of the turret look and feel, the reticle, feature sets. I was at SHOT I remember you coming by the booth. Again I’ll reiterate that YOU personally haven’t used the PRS Edition as I indicated.
Except I have used them side by side on several occasions.
Are the comparisons and conversations of shooters comparing them side by side not real world experiences? Speaking of irony isn’t that ironic that it’s ok to take some folks comments as fact but then seem to completely discredit others...
Goes both ways when I see people post things that aren’t true and claim things that aren’t. Again my statements aren’t my opinion as indicated above… they are the opinions that have been shared to me by other shooters.
Honestly at the end of the day an individual like yourself was never going...
You literally have NEVER used the PRS model of the scope so incredibly misleading post to say the least. In fact have you ever even seen the March PRS edition in person, no you haven’t.
There is a PRS edition of the scope for a reason and comparing the standard March 5-42 Gen 2 to the 540 isn’t...
That isn’t want the folks I’ve spoke to have said on more than one occasion. The fact the AOV in the 540 ocular is massive at 29.8 degrees actually does affect the eyebox and plenty of folks have noticed and commented on it but I’m sure everyone here knows best.
There have been several guys who have compared the 540 to the march and the general consensus that I was told by those folks who have seen both is the March was there pick. The 540 eyebox is incredibly tight as a result of extreme wide angle ocular design, the Windage turret is to small, stiff...
I wish I could have replied to this sooner but the information was internal until until this morning, March will have a statewide repair facility and the scopes will be sent there for any repair work to be completed. Expected timeline is first quarter for 2026.
As a general rule I’d put way more importance on what shooters are saying who actually use it and a YouTube reviewer but I’m sure there will be more reviews coming.. go ask a guy on a firing line that has one to look through it.
Good to see your back in this post to provide some value to the thread… even if it’s only in your eyes! You and Patrick sure do cry plenty… if you fellas dislike this thread contents so much please by all means see your way out of the post.
I’m sure so many of us in the post would lose sleep...
I can indeed help get you a march shoot me a pm and I’ll get you sorted.
Shayne’s a hater and yes I’m a past life I’ve had some mustangs to drag race and Mexico race.
Obviously this depends on how many scopes I have available, March is absolutely making efforts to alleviate any strain on shooters during any potential down time. This scopes designed and built to compete in PRS, as a result of that I’ve made it very clear the competitor has to have a means to...
You are exactly correct the 4.5-28 and the 5-42 are not the same scope the 4.5-28 has had some historical issues that have since been corrected. The 5-42 is build like a tank!
I did things to the pre production model no person should ever do to an optic! One was slammed into the ground in rock hard enough to bend the rings on a very reputable mount and the scope tracked fine. We have had them fall off barricades and land scope first attached to 25# prs rifles, get...
lol these scopes have been on rifles for over a year in testing boss! We have done shit to them you’d never even remotely do to an actual competition rifle and they haven’t failed!
But of course you know that already being an actual shooter who competes in the actual sport it was designed for...
