New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I bought it (very lightly) used, few hundred rounds on it. I’m up in Canada and ordering a new kit from SAC is a pain in a** and there’s one distributor who sells them up here and they price them quite high. And they only offer 18-22” barrels, wanted a longer one.
Took some patience to wait for...
Has anyone had any luck with trigger mods to the newer A2/M2 trigger to get rid of creep and lower the weight a bit? My M2 has an inconsistent amount of creep. It's always there, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. Once it finally gets through the creep it breaks crisp. I feel like this trigger...
Another option for a great crossover scope is the March FX Highpower 4.5-28x52. It has a massive FOV compared to most so 4.5 power has been plenty low for close in stuff for me and having 28 on the high end is great for long shots, and it’s light enough to not be a boat anchor. I’ve been using...
What are the chamber dimensions like on the factory DT barrels? Just picked up a factory barrel for a screaming deal and it’ll be my first 338. Have a bunch of Lapua brass and plan on using 300gr scenars.
I agree with you in theory. Not looking for light with this setup, just looking for a steel smasher that has some more weight out front. I would go even longer than 24” but there is a used barrel already made with only 20 rounds on for a decent price.
Interesting info. I was just about to buy a 1.250” 24” 6mm creed barrel for my M2 but this has me cautiously rethinking that.
I know @Dogtown uses some 1.250 barrels in his M2.
@Dogtown have you had any issues like this with yours?
Very nice! I’m surprised to hear that it dropped off at only 1800 rounds, figured the 30-06 would be good for at least double that.
Mind if I ask what your load is?
I put one on my SRS-M2 and I’ve been loving it so far. As mentioned earlier, the field of view is the best part, didn’t know what I was missing until now.
The only issue I’ve run into is how low profile the turrets are. Running my ARC mount, the top of the rings are so thick that I have to lift...
I hunted the foothills quite a bit with my AX, never took it on an actual mountain hunt, but a lot a miles and a lot of vertical at times. First trip sucked but it motivated me to drop some gut fat and hit the weights.
Take the AI and go make some memories!
