Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

It was a joke that could have multiple meanings depending on how you look at it, because I know Richard I thought he would find it amusing...

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

Wow, this thread has taken some twists and turns. A few comments after reading through some... Actually, some people do cry about Richard, they just do so behind closed doors... :sneaky: I know there have been some responses to this already but speaking from personal experience, the Gen 1 had...

    Rifle Scopes Atacr gen 2

On the whole ATACR II front. Yes, the ATACR series is one of the "oldest" scope lines on the market today and I would love to see some fresh updates; however, as long as the scopes are still making NF money I doubt they feel any pressure to update. Also, NF has been one of the few companies...

    Rifle Scopes Atacr gen 2

That sounds about right to me. I was at Schmidt and Bender the other day and they have a countdown clock :ROFLMAO:

Primary Arms Optics - Discovery 2025: PLx Compact Long Range Scopes Unveiled

I would expect the latter... it's more about the quality of the parts and assembly that play a bigger role than the size of the parts.

Primary Arms Optics - Discovery 2025: PLx Compact Long Range Scopes Unveiled

Still crickets on the 2.5-20x48??? Interesting, I'm not used to seeing PA take this long to come to market with products they announce, they are usually pretty quick.

    Best Premium Hunting Scope

The only reason I would choose the S&B is if it had DT II+ turrets and I felt I needed 3x at the bottom (though the Schmidt reticles aren't that great for bottom mag use). If I didn't need 3x then I would choose the ZCO. That's me, there are plenty who prefer the Schmidt over ZCO so YMMV...

KAHLES K624i - EYEBOX COMPARED TO PRESENT SCOPES

One thing to keep in mind as a "general" rule, the shorter the erector (smaller magnification range) and the longer the focal length typically means more forgiving eyebox, DOF and parallax. I say this as a general rule because there are things you can do with an optical formula that can correct...

Is the March FX 4.5-28x52 my new ZCO?

The March 4.5-28x52 is in a different league vs. the 3-24x52 - meaning it is considerably better optically and with the new Shuriken turrets mechanically as well. Just because one scope from a manufacturer may struggle doesn't mean they all do. I think I explained some of the shortcomings of...

Rifle Scopes Vortex RG3 6-36x56, Element Theos 6-36x56 and Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 Review

Out of curiosity, how do you think the Theos compares to your NX8's?

Primary Arms Optics - Discovery 2025: PLx Compact Long Range Scopes Unveiled

I have little doubt that PA has priced their scope according to what they believe the value of it should be. The bigger question is whether or not the market will sustain that price. I made a prediction early on in this thread that if PA prices this scope close to or above the current street...

Is the March FX 4.5-28x52 my new ZCO?

I’ve heard EO has had some great deals on the old turret models. The “old” turret wasn’t bad at all but the new Shuriken turrets are definitely a step above, maybe even two steps, they are that good. Optically they are the same scope and yes, they are very impressive from an optical...

Rifle Scopes Alpha Class High Magnification 6-36/7-35 FFP Scope Review

Beautiful, just the box is exciting  Seriously though, as you can see from my review, I feel the TT 7-35 is the best optical FFP scope available today. In a couple months I will be reviewing the TT 7-35 with a new version ZCO 8-40x56 and I'm trying to figure out how to get a hold of a...

Rifle Scopes New for 2025, the Kahles K540i

I think that's the biggest challenge with Kahles - CS and the possibility it may have to go back to Austria for repairs... Huge advantage for ZCO to be hear in the states and TT in the socialist country above us... quick turn around with any issues and excellent CS. IMO, other manufacturers who...

Rifle Scopes New for 2025, the Kahles K540i

Appreciate your input and comparisons R_A_W. That is what good wide FOV gets you, a lot of people don't realize how much of a difference the wider FOV is allowing you to stay on higher magnification yet still see more - it is a distinct advantage! Yep, you really have to see it and experience...
