    Not quite the “whole length of the case”… I see this in about 10% of all the AAC cases I fire in my .223 AI chamber, but don’t see it at all in my AR’s until about the third reloading. Definitely a manufacturing issue that shows itself more in certain chambers.

    Nope. Usually easier to get the scope forward enough with a cantilever mount on an AR. Best to keep the rings/mount completely on the upper and not the handguard.

    A 1.5mm wrench is around .063 point to point, that might work for you as a gauge.

    Like was said above, a hex wrench is measured flat to flat. You are trying to use it point to point. A .050 wrench measures about .055 point to point and a .0625 about .069…so no, it won’t fit in a .0625 hole.
