    7mm short magnums.

In a short action... yeah good luck fitting 180s above the doughnut.

    7mm short magnums.

It's not about Wall thickness. It's the doughnut from the shoulder becoming neck material. Not sure how you'd figure a chamber would fix that. I did a skim pass on my brass and it clearly cut a doughnut off.

    7mm short magnums.

The 7-6.5 PRC needs neck turned. Especially in a short action.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I have a feeling that we are past the 4 month waiting period of this release. Seems like they are getting closer anyway. I'm guessing the number of first week orders was insane.

    Zermatt Origin barrel changing question.

I leave my scope on and it's a super long Minox ZP5, I haven't had any issues clamping the barrel down further. I've been thinking about using a piece of 2" tube steel to go into a hitch to mount the vice, then when I need it on the bench I can clamp it in the bench vice.

    Zermatt Origin barrel changing question.

I've made a video on this topic, with a well made barrel you should be within 1-1/2" @ 100 yards. I'd really like to revisit the topic and see what happens with more tourque. I've got 4 barrels and all but the one I made are right there with eachother.

Is .224 Valkyrie going to die out?

100% If you have and like your Valk, load up on brass now. At least a barrel worth. Any reports on barrel life of the 22 ARC?

Is .224 Valkyrie going to die out?

Let me know when you get your first 22 ARC confirmed kill.

Is .224 Valkyrie going to die out?

But now that the 62gr ELD VT is out there's going to be a bit more attention to all the 22 cals. I'm excited to play with these bullets, I'm invested in the Valk but not emotionally. Really I'm happy to see any 22 succeed. however, I'm not sure why we need to fit everything into a small frame...

Want to join the 7mm club

When's the last time you've seen anything loaded witg a 7mm 195gr berger? I'm pretty sure he's reloading. But you're right. If you're going with a long action, might as well use it and do the 7 PRC.

Want to join the 7mm club

You don't want a 7 PRC because of recoil but you're set on only shooting 180gr +? I wouldn't over analyze it honestly. There are lots of good bullet options, get a generic freebore and load a bullet at a velocity that does what you need. If it kicks too much, try a different bullet.

Maggie’s The Woodchuck and Firewood Hoarders Thread

Last update on the 261c with Mtronic. My brother in-law took it to cut some wood up at his place (10,000ft~) I had told him to go through the reset process, it sounds like the saw ran all day without issues. Really appreciate the help guys, excited to put my saw to work!

This guy did it. I like it so much I saved the photo. No idea what the post number was.

    300 Norma Mag

Would it be safe to equate N568 to a "short cut" version of N570? Getting into 300NM with the thought that preformance is primary with barrel life being a nice after thought.

I'm running a super trickler and hear that it's doable. I guess we'll see.

    300 Norma Mag

In some of the above posts its said that there is a "tiny" loss in FPS moving to N568. If it's like 25-50fps with easier metering, cooler burning and long barrel life, then I'm not sure why everyone isn't talking about it. I'm planning on grabbing 16lbs so I'm just putting feelers out incase...

I've got a line on a bunch of N570, any reason to choose N565 or N568 instead?

    7-6.5 PRC

That would make sense to me. I'd change it. .100" past SA mag length is kinda useless.
