New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Just added to my firewood entourage.
My friend bought this mule in 1992 I think. He bought it because his dad had to be on oxygen and this let him ride around the 'farm' when down here. They lived in KC and only came down 8-10 time a year, so it got little use. His dad passed and he parked it...
I was looking at a house the other day and the owner had an Echo saw. He said after getting it he will not own anything else.
I would think they are like most, you get the 'homeowner' class, that is what you have, but if you move into the 'pro' models they are good.
I think it almost impossible to start a new bank.
If a current small town bank could be bought (it most likely has been), that would be the way to go. A small bank in my area is still a $200 million plus concern.
Bigger banks will buy a smaller one just to lock up the charter (never hurts to...
Fried Crappie for supper last night. No pictures as we all know what fried fish look like.
AH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the spoils of summer on a cold winter night.
About a year ago I bought a couple of Sugihara bars. One is a 20 inch, the other a 24 inch.
The 20 inch was put on the saw when it was new. I have run 76 tanks of gas through it and was hoping the bar would last for 100 tanks, but it is starting to show some wear. Had hoped the pictures would...
Stopped in the Court House the other day, one of the guys working there said he wanted to sell his trailer. Said he thought it should be worth $100.00. Paid him and went to his house to hook it up, I went back and gave him some additional money and told him he sold it to cheap. I think it is...
Talk about a wide turn,,,,,,,,,,,,,, bought and got this;
Gave it to my son for Christmas. Couple of days later, he told me "I don't think I can bring myself to use it after getting a handle in it".
So, what is a dad to do?
Found where I could buy a Gransfors Burk in the United States...
Well, it can happen anytime. My wife and I went to the woods yesterday to start a fire and clean an area up. I was not cutting wood, just cleaning up brush.
A tree had rotted off and fell into another tree. I grabbed it and pulled away from the other tree. It moved some but did not want to go...
Which is better?
Sometimes mine does not get a piece of wood split due to wedge not going all the way through.
On the other hand, if you had a fixed wedge, you would be picking wood off the ground if it needed to be split again.
I think there are pros and cons to each one.
Is there a best?
While driving down the road today I got to thinking, if I were looking at getting a new splitter today, would I get one with the wedge on the ram (like I have) or get one that pushes the wood into the wedge.
What do you think?
Alright guys, need ideas.
Due to few people eating Christmas dinner at my house, we have a good amount of prime rib left.
Thought we could have Beef-n-Noodles one night. My bride said Shepard's Pie one night.
What do you do with excess prime rib?
Thanks
Gave mine to my son this morning. He took one look and said "oh my, this is the real deal"
He will make a handle for it and I will post up the finished product.
Thanks for putting this together.
I also have a SpeeCo splitter. Mine is a 25 ton. About 20 years ago I did some appraisal work for a guy getting a divorce and he traded me the splitter for my bill. I thought he had bought it new, but found out later he got it used, so I have no idea how old it is.
He told me to check it out...
Had a carpenter over doing some work and he saw me headed to the woods. He brought out his electric chainsaw and said, "you know your chaps will not stop one of these, as they have no clutch". I had never given that a thought as I don't have any battery powered saws, but it sounds like it could...
