I would shoot anything you load @j-huskey but the OP is shooting 93.5 with a 285 grain bullet. I am sure I have the numbers somewhere but can't remember what my charge of Retumbo was with the 300 Sierra back when I had a 338LM. Have the parts and about to be back in that game BTW.- shoot4fun

Yes it is and no, not even the BR guys do neck only these days. Hodgdon says 89.0 with a 275 grain bullet in Norma brass. I would think your bolt would be stiff after neck sizing only with a stout load like yours. That and , possibly, the extra amount of pressure is causing the extractor...- shoot4fun

If Kobalt brand could be any better than what I bought I would not be able to use the extra. Besides, I love my local Ace Hardware and it's a 40 mile round trip to Lowe's. But then I do not have the EV lawnmower from any source; just the chainsaw and hedge trimmer.- shoot4fun

Although I cut mostly with my smaller 48" ZT made by Hustler there are times I need a walk-behind. Mine is a Honda self-propelled and it works very well. A little lighter than many out there and, most importantly for my preference , the set-propelled mechanism is rear drive. Maybe not a big deal...- shoot4fun

Twist Rate - 300 Norma
Using Berger's Twist Rate Stability Calculator the end result is displayed as SG. There are three "zones" to include Unstable, Marginal Stablity and Comfortable Stability. Manipulating the input values of the 215 Hybrid to 3,200 FPS with a 7 twist barrel one would think that it would be ideal...- shoot4fun

That target truly is an amazing feat of skill. From experience, I can say it takes a huge amount of time, effort and perfecting of ones shooting and preparation skills to make it happen. While we have been led to believe the 77SMK required a minimum of 8 twist for stabilization, I was told not that long ago by a Sierra tech that the 77SMK was actually designed with nine twist in mind. That bullet worked extremely well in my 9 twist 22-250 barrel.- shoot4fun

I can only relate my comparison of two rifles chambered in .223 with Krieger barrels of different twist rate. I have one 7.7 twist and shooting 80 Berger VLD with Varget at 2,980 FPS. Thinking I could get improvement on drop and drift with the 90 VLD, I chambered a same length barrel of 6.5...- shoot4fun

Twist Rate - 300 Norma
My 300NM is an improved version and has a 9 twist Krieger on it. I'll likely never shoot heavier than the 230 Berger or A-Tip in it. Been shooting the Berger 230 OTM Hybrid out of a 10 twist 300WM for quite a while now and they shoot perfectly fine out to the 1,300 yards I've tried them.- shoot4fun
