New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I am considering one of these in 6.5 PRC. I'm looking for confirmation that it will have the flush Seekins mag allowing longer OAL (3.15" I believe) as well as the AICS spacer. Seen some stuff on the 6.5 PRC/GAP 6.5 SAUM FB page.
Also, will the freebore allow you to take advantage of the...
second this. I have a stiller action, 26" brux barrel, Manners stock, throated for Berger eol 195's by piercision rifles. He builds a bunch of them. Shoots the 195's into ¼" at 100 yds at 3070 fps with Reloader 33. I would talk to him.
I have a 28 Nosler with a 26" barrel built by Piercision rifles. It is very accurate, recoil manageable with brake, and not too heavy,
Manners EH1
fluted Sendero contour Brux Barrel
Stiller action
I am getting 3070fps with Re 33.
I have killed an elk with it at 250 yards, DRT. Haven't...
I have an SRS as well as rifles in AICS chassis (GAP build). I just took the SRS on an elk hunt and harvested a bull at 525 yards. Would never consider taking the AICS.
The balance of the DTA makes the weight much more tolerable. I even hunted with my suppressor and it was shorter with...
Not sure whether there was an update to the software, but originally with the HD-B's you entered the altitude which restricted their use to that altitude. I hunt in Texas (<1000' altitude) and Utah/Colorado (>8000') last year. That was my only complaint.
You still have to change/reprogram...
I have both.
The G7 BR2 is nice because you can load 5 different profiles in it and set it up where you range and it gives adjustment. For example - 10.9 MOA
If you use the HD-B's, you have to load the micro-SD card with the data on it from Leica website and you input your elevation.
I put...
I was just elk hunting with an experienced guide who has a Swarovski HD 20-60x spotter. I have the non-HD 20-60x model. He told me that he was testing spotters side by side with all of the high end scopes and the Nightforce at long distances and difficult conditions was significantly better...
I am also waiting for a left hand DTA-SRS.
I also wanted to thank Orkan for his help with my TS Customs 7mm LRM conversion. I bought this a few months ago and am headed back from an elk hunt in Utah. I took my Gen 1 SRS because I had so much confidence in it. I have guns (LH) from many of...
I am ambidextrous/shoot left-handed. Right eye dominant.
I have both. Also have Blaser rifles which allow left or right bolt. I am very comfortable shooting a right handed rifle prone. It's the other positions that make shooting a left handed rifle easier. As the years go by, I have more...
I think the node at 41.5 grains is pretty common. I think there is a second note at 42.5 to 43.0 grains. My 6.5 Creedmoor shoots pretty consistently with 42.5 grains. Shot 2 inch groups at 500 yards.

Been thinking about one of these myself. I have so much 300WM brass lying around.
Cool build. I have a couple 7WSM's, 7LRM.
7 LRM has been the easiest to get to shoot so far.
Apparently Gunwerks is coming out with a 6.5 LRM that will have reamer, dies, headstamped brass next year. Not sure where it will be in the 6.5 spectrum. I think closer to the 6.5 SAUM than the 26 Nosler.
