    On my 6XC I get a bit better accuracy with about .020 jump. Bullet is the 105 hybrid.

    Rifle Scopes Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56 get the locking turrets or non locking? MTC or no?

    I have both and much prefer the regular non-MTC turrets. Clicks are strong enough to not worry about accidentally moving them. Actually only reason I got the MTC turrets was I wanted the tan colored finish. If I could do it over, I would have got the regular turrets.

    Need to rebarrel/true Remington 700, what vendors taking work?

    I just had GAP rebarrel my 700 action. The action had already been trued. I supplied the barrel. Took all of 3 wks. Can't really imagine it taking mush longer to true the action. They quote 2 months but usually take less time. As long as your not doing any stock work.

    Here's something different, Distancemap on the iPhone. Measures distance between shooting position and target using Google Earth. I use this out in the desert with great success.

    Targets for longer range group shooting.

    I use a pistol type silhouette paper target that I got at a gun show. These are not the black ones, but a white style with a gray colored center aiming point. Easier to see bullet holes. Also use a steel target nearby to get in range. Works for me.

    Whats best in your opinion??

    I use the Vortex off-set ones for around $40. Prefer them as I can adjust them exactly to the level of the rifle. As I am looking thru the scope, the bubble is visible with my weak eye.
