Target rounds not good for protection?

Someone remind me to get his opinion on Quigley-Ford scopes when they get out of timeout.

Target rounds not good for protection?

Not uncommon for bots to necro threads while trying to pump their fake post count.. This is a spicy bot.

Out of the box problems with my ZCO 527

I hope you remember how to use iron sights. If you don't have faith in ZCO because you got a lemon, I can show you a failure from every other manufacture to kill your faith in them too. I have had to return a NF and Kahles for example. Let them take care of it, and then enjoy one of the best...

Rifle Scopes Reticle size vs zoom range ffp

The reticle will cover the same amount of the target. The whole sight picture might look different to your brain due to optical design differences between the 4-16 and 7-35. Functionally any shot you could make with one would be easily made with the other.

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

FWIW: When I commented in that thread, I only use the wrench for return to zero consistency on my AT. Like you found out from your phone call, no issues at all going hand tight only if you plan on leaving the barrel installed or have a chance to zero it. You can even get decent RTZ with hand...

    Muzzle velocity difference between manufacturers

The best part about this game is you could buy a Seekins based off the single data point you found, and end up with a barrel slower than all the Tikkas that stacks dimes. Its real exciting when you get a short barrel on the high side of velocity, but man does can it suck when you buy a shorty...

    New production M1 Garands

$1900 is actually less than I expected. Not my thing so I wouldn't touch it at that price. I am sure plenty out there would pay that to have a new production Garand to abuse rather than risk further wear on their original rifles.

Barrel flats, any one use them?

This was the issue I had with trying to snap it in place only by hand. It wasn't consistent, and especially with external factors like rain or mud. With even a small wrench like mine, I gained all of the consistency back across multiple barrels. You are gaining a higher minimum torque, and there...

Barrel flats, any one use them?

I will be honest, I am not sure. I give it a snap and it requires the wrench to get the barrel lose again. Personal anecdote: When I first got the AI, I had to decide between keeping it or my DT SRS A1. I did a Return to Zero test where I shot 10 rounds at a single POA while removing the barrel...

Barrel flats, any one use them?

@Jrb572 @carbonbased You can see the wrench in this pic. Its more about consistently hitting the same torque value than the actual torque value itself in my experience, so this works perfectly.

    XM7 worries from the field.

Your posts give off the same energy as Elon saying we would have full self driving cars in 2 years, 10 years ago. We are still another few huge breakthroughs away in ML/AI before AI will truly "remake warfare" in a way that doesn't involve boots on the ground. I expect most R&D and AI...

    Vudoo closed the doors…

I was raised on a farm and I wouldn't want the majority of that workforce near any sort of precision instrument. The mindset of "always finding a solution" isn't really as deeply rooted there as we would hope. If its not an obvious issue that can be fixed with a fat MIG bead or a hammer, you...

    Ridgeline Defense RD-15 LPR

Any news on the CQB option referenced earlier in this thread? I have a Craddock 14.5" + OCM5 that I would love to stick in one of these uppers.

    Which 18” 5.56 Barrel

None of the above. How is Craddock not on the list? Most of those are unlikely to disappoint tbh.

Barrel flats, any one use them?

Glad you asked... apparently it was a Borka wrench. It has the holes to be used as a crow's foot, but long enough handle that you can ensure the barrel is snug by hand. I can try and grab a pic later.

Barrel flats, any one use them?

I use AI's Borka's little wrench and snug it up without ever having RTZ issues. I wish I had Rubenski's posts to reference because I believe I came to the same conclusion as him: Anything over 40 ft.lbs. is good to go, but you have to be consistent in whatever force you decide on. I didn't have...

Rifle Scopes Recommend a low-light scope

Where you are seeing these for ~$1k? That would be a no brainer.

    Craddock RTR

I pulled the trigger on a 14.5" .223 barrel after seeing the nice little 4th of July discount. I am excited to try one out, but would love to still see everyone's own feedback and experiences. I will report back whenever I finish my goofy little precision build.

    Nightforce C538 NXS 2.5-10x24

As someone that loves a good NF and still has 2 of them on my go-to rifles, NF can disappoint... Focusing only on the x24, the experience is less than stellar at 10x compared to its x32 or x42 counterparts with regards to eyebox or if light is low. It forces you to learn how to get on your gun...

    Nightforce C538 NXS 2.5-10x24

Does anyone remember how many were in the last limited batch they did? It felt like they remained in stock for quite awhile... At least I couldn't believe they were still in stock when I picked mine up in 2017. I would love a 2-10x ATACR as long as the packaging of the NXS didn't get butchered...
