New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
You'd be wrong, more equipment is not more simple or effective. Looking through the bore is the most simple method and very effective. Shooting a a dirt clod on the berm and dialing the correction works well too. :)
I just look through the barrel at a dot at 25 yards, dial scope about an inch under. Reset target to 100 yards, usually zero in 3 shots, then confirm with another three shots at another dot. Done, no fancy tools needed.
I've pulled or helped pull five tikka barrels, a couple took some persuasion with a tap of a mallet. None were terribly difficult, though a couple did get marred a bit, but nothing significant. Between a buddy and myself we've also put on 5 prefits, amazingly they all head spaced correctly...

It would have to be a killer deal, at the prices listed on their site I could put together a custom action, carbon barrel and stock for less. And I'm sure it would be better, and cheaper.
After their demo of the new 7 PRC on an Elk I'd never buy a rifle from the company. Shot the animal at long distance just because they could. Drive down a dirt road, pull over and shoot an elk over 1000 yards to make a video. Didn't make a good shot IMO, needed a followup anyway. Poor ethics
