New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I've been pondering the same question for hunting, as of now I'm going with dual band (tanto) with a Nox18. Already have the Nox helmet mounted but want the ability to walk around better than just the thermal alone. The rifle will have its own thermal scope
Going through the same dilemma but also wanting night vision (helmet mounted to go with the Nox18). Iray came out with a RL42R - 384 sensor with a base mag of 4x and msrp is $2k less than the RH50R. Otherwise specs look the same. The few videos out there look good though
The DJI no-fly-zones expand well outside of the FAA zones. Not sure of the process to unlock the drone/controller, but supposedly it does work. Welcome to the world of DJI and software updates
I forget the manufacturer of the rail, but the rings are Seekins, 4 screw. To me it's the equivalent of a slow version of a QD mount or rings. Use the same slots and screw torque that I'm using now and verify once or twice for my sanity
Have a day scope in a set of non QD rings. Wanting to use the rifle with a thermal (on a QD mount) but still have the option for the day scope without re-zeroing. Can you simply remove the rings/scope from the rail then remount in the same slots and call it good?
I have a MPA BA chassis for the 455. Only chassis I have so no experience with other brands, but no complaints either. MPA is proud of them, but it looks like a 457 also fits

It would be a hard sale for me to go back to using a SFP scope. Was using a SFP Nightforce and kept missing everything beyond 100 yards using the reticle for holdovers while not on the calibrated zoom level (10x). Once I figured that out and changed to 10x, magically started hitting the targets...
Buddy has an AGM Taipan that works well for detecting. Easily fits in a pocket and lightweight. 384 core can be annoying if you're use to 640, but not bad
