New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I don't know if Android has app settings that automatically populate it
You could try tapping on "slope" and select "delete" in the upper left corner of the page. Repeat with "Moving Target"

Hornady BC for the 22 Cal 88 gr. ELD Match
0.274 G7 Mach 2.25 (2512 fps* and above) - Velocities above 2,500 fps and distances out to 300 yards.
0.268 G7 Mach 2.0 (2232 fps*) - Mid-range shooting where the bullet spends time in flight after...
Do you have the inputs from your solver?
Was the match held at Pawnee or a different location?
What range did you miss at? What range/drop did you True the MV?
Need more information. Could you post your recorded results. (from your Load development) and what your results were from the local match And the inputs you entered in the software.
Have you shot the current 2707 fps configuration on the same range you developed the load for since the local...
Here's the Kestrel Instructions
https://kestrelinstruments.com/mwdownloads/download/link/id/241/
MV calibration is a fine tune adjustment that’s done at the range where your systems’ remaining velocity reaches 1340 fps (Mach 1.2 - edge of the supersonic range) In your specific circumstance...
I agree. Truing at 800 yards makes no sense if both BC’s give the same result
If “800 yards” is the set “calibration point” then that presupposes the shooter hasn’t got access to ranges beyond the “calibration point” to even know if the trajectory is off at further distances and if he (the...
I'll clarify. I meant I didn't know how he came up with .595 (I thought he might have been setting coldbore to = 4.8 at 800)
you had pointed out that both .583 and .595 = 4.8 at 800 in JBM so I had included both in my examples
I'm not sure where .595 G1 came from but this was what I got using other software and the inputs supplied
Cold Bore Desktop *AJ off *no azimuth supplied
AB G7 .294
800=4.8 1000 = 6.9 1350=11.7 1500 =14.2
AB G1 .575
800=4.9 1000 = 7.1 1350=12.0 1500 =14.6
Prime G7 .289
800=4.9 1000 = 7.0...
Your guess is as good as mine
The OP stated:
“I just plugged the longest yardages and actual drop into the Calibration mode on the app and all it did was lower my MV 10fps to 2975, and it lined up to my actual numbers”.
(OP didn’t specify which of the “longest yardages” were used or if 1223...
Here some things to consider.
Re-check the Custom Curve and Litz BC with the direction-of-fire and Latitude set for your location
Write down what your Latitude and the Azimuth the target is facing for your “records”
On a Kestrel
Go into “environment” and enter your location’s Latitude (it’s...
This what mine is set to:
About >> basic settings
Location: while using
Change weather service to NOAA
Go back to current atmosphere and tap the location icon in the upper right corner of the screen to populate the inputs
Coriolis/SD/CWAJ/wind-deflection are secondary effects. Gravity being the primary. Gravity is the solvers' "baseline zero reference"
If your solver of choice supports it and it exists in your recorded numbers. The solver needs to account for it when "Lining Up" the trajectory BEFORE making...
It was under Hornady.com >> Bullets >> "ELD Match"
just below the "fold" red button labeled "See All ELD Match and ELD-X BC Values"
It's not very obvious and could easily be missed
